That's according to , which has pulled launch month Switch 2 eShop data from six leading markets, including the US and the UK. Based on digital units sold𝔍 through the eShop,ꦫ Deltarune was the Switch 2's bestseller in June. Welcome Tour was right behind it, and then Mario Kart World rounds out the top three.

It felt like everyone who managed to bag a Switch 2 at launch was playing nothing but Mario Kart World, and that's because in the grand scheme of th🐠ings, they were. While it's still impressive that two games managed to outsell the new Mario Kart on the🅠 eShop, the main reason behind that is that there wasn't much need for anyone to buy a digital copy of Mario Kart World.
Newzoo's data doesn't include the redeemed codes for those who got a copy of World bundled with their Switch 2, which I can only assume was anyone who bought the console and was given the option. Mario Kart World is $80 when bought separately, a decision that shook the video game industry 168澳洲幸运5开奖网:when it was announced back in April, but $50 when bought bundled with a Switch 2.
Newszoo's numbers also don't account for physical copies sold, which, between th🔴e bundle and individual copies, are in the millions. Despite all that, Newzoo's research revealed in terms of dollar sales, World was the eShop's best seller last month. Again, that $80 price tag would have helped. Welcome Tour just about made it into that top five. Pretty impressive for a $10 game that everyone seems to hate.
The other metric Newzoo tracked was monthly active users across both the Switch and the Switch 2, which Mario Kart World also topped, hence it feeling like everyone was playing it non-stop. What's particularly impressive about this stat, in particular, is that even Fortnite had to settle for second place behind the Switch 2's first first-party game. A🧔gain, that's across both Switch consoles, so even more impressive.
A round-up of these stats for July, once the numbers have been crunched, will potentially be even more fascinating. Do🔯nkey Kong Bananza had a very strong physical launch in the UK, but nowhere close to 168澳洲幸运5开奖网:Super Mario Odyssey's. However, I expect its digital sales will be far stronger than Mario Kart World's since there isn't a Switch 2 Bananza bundle. 168澳洲幸运5开奖网:There is a Po✤kemon Legends: Z-A bundle, though, and pre-orders have already begun.
