Rumored to be announced during Thursday's Direct, Nintendo's deep dive of Wonder closed with confirmation those rumors are true and a very first look at what has been dubbed the Mario Red OLED Switch. Available to pre-order right now, the new Switch model launches on October 6, two weeks before Wonder's release date.
While an OLED Switch that is simply red all over isn't exactly the most exciting themed console Nintendo has ever released, it is a little more than that. Turn the Switch around and you'll be met with a collection of coins, the same ones Mario has been collecting in 2D games for more than 35 years. There's also a little running Mario silhouette on the back, right there in the bottom left corner.

Nintendo has launched a limited edition OLED Switch to coincide with the release of Super Mario Bros. Wonder. The Mario Red edition of the console is mostly red with ওa Mario silhouette on the rear and iconic coins inside.
The Mario Red OLED Switch retails for $350 and for the time being it is exclusively available through . No word on if that will change in the future or if it will be available from other retailers when we get nearer to its release date. Opinions on how good the𒆙 new console looks and how innovative its design is appear t🌸o be mixed, although if you are eager to own one, I wouldn't hang around. Most limited-edition versions of consoles tend to sell out pretty quickly.
Do note that the Red Mario OLED Switch doesn't come with a copy of Wonder. The console will be with you on October 6 if you pre-order one while Wonder itself doesn't launch until October 20.
