Battletoads and Double Dragon is a side-scrolling beat ‘em up that brings the characters and action from both 🐟series together for an unforgettably odd crossover. The game originally launched on the NES and was later brought over to the SNES with improved graphics, though most fans prefer the original for its tighter gameplay and charming 8-bit visuals.
It's impressive how seamlessly the game brings two very different series together to create a cohesive adventure that's fun to play with a friend. Each stage is fu📖ll of fun surprises and the attack combos still feel great. If you've never played Battletoads and Double Dragon, the version on Nintendo Switch Online is an excellent way to see what the unexpected hybrid has to offer.
