We've now started seeing leaks for the Nintendo Switch Online playtest which very few, exclusive people were privy to. While it's nowhere nea♏r the scale of the Game Freak leak, it gives us a glimpse at what Nintendo is working 𒈔on, and fans have speculated that it could be anything from the metaverse, to an MMO, and even a strand game.

Nintendo Appears To Be Testing Out Features For A Social Sim

The leaks have come almost immediately after the playtest went online. And although the players were asked not to share any details, Nintendo should have known this was ine𒊎vitable. Based on what some players have shared, despite being asked not to, it appears that Nintendo is testing out features for a massive online game, akin to an MMO. However, various features hint that there will be a lot of cooperation required between players, resembling a strand game as well.

Players will have to develop a whole planet. Each player will receive a Beacon, which when placed, marks a safe zone for themselves🥂. They will be able to interact with objects and resources a🎶s they wish in that area. Other players will not be able to edit things within your beacon, and vice-versa. Anything outside the beacons is fair game. The aim appears to be to develop the entire planet.

There's also a soci🧜al hub for players, currently known as the Dev Core. Here, players can interact with others, level up, and get items needed for the game, among other things. There are also details about a levelling up system and a rewards system based on how much p📖rogress is made.

User generated content will also play a part i﷽n this game. You'll get to make and showcase various types of content, but it's currently unclear what that means. Perhaps levels like In Mario Maker or islands like in Animal Crossing.

As you'd expect, Nintendo is already hard at work, cracking down on these leaks, as leaked images have started disappearing from Twitter. The prospect of a Nintendo social sim seems quite intriguing, especially since the company hasꦆ traditionally stayed away from it, or made online components quite convoluted.
