Even though they were missing from last week's Nintendo Direct, the same insiders who accurately reported N64 games are coming to NSO still believe Game Boy titles are coming too.

Nintendo dropped a couple of pretty big bombs during last week's Direct. While the reveal that Chris Pratt will voice Mario in next year's animated movie stole most of the headlines, 168澳洲幸运5开奖网:N64 and Genesis game🧔s coming to Nintendo 💦Switch was also very big news. The first games from both consoles will be added next mo꧟nth as part of a new premium NSO tier dubbedಞ the Expansion Pack.

The addition of Genesis titles was somewhat surprising, but N64 games being added for a higher price had previously been rumored. There were also reports that Game Boy and Game Boy Color games 🤪would be coming to NSO, but there was no mention of that during last week's Direct. Despite radio silence from Nintendo, the same insiders who initially claimed a Game Boy library is incoming are still certain those plans remain in place.

“I'd imagine N64/Mega Drive are being rolled out first as they're more enticing things to prompt people to upgrade,” Eurogamer's Tom Phillips tweeted. That tweet was built on by Nate Drake who was the first to report that N64 games would be added and probably cost more. “I would anticipate that Game Boy and Game Boy Color are part of the current Nintendo Switch Online service and they didn't want to conflate the two,” Drake explained on

While Game Boy games are probably still coming, announcing them at the same time as the Expansion Pack may well have muddied the waters. Especially if Nintendo doesn't intend on having subscribers pay more for them, which seems likely. Nintendo has also revealed since the Direct that even though the Genesis and N64 are about to take center stage, its NES and SNES🍬 NSO libraries will still continue to grow. The former launched the Switch's online service in 2018 while the latter joined it the following year. Between them, they boast more than 100 playable games on NSO right now, and Nintendo thankfully won't be stopping there.
