It’s fair to say that flying around in space while in VR is a pretty cool concept. Just the idea of planets whizzing by, you as you wea🌃ve in and out of asteroid fields, is mesmerisingly beautiful. Fortunately, No Man’s Sky offered players that unprecedented immersive experience in 2019 when it launched No ๊Man’s Sky VR.

However, for those who’ve been playing No Man’s Sky for a while, that seemed like a faraway pipe dream. Sure, we could press our faces against our TVs and hope for the best. But it would never compare. Of course, it’s great that it exists now - it's practically the only game actually worth getting a VR headset for - but we still remember the pain of waiting for the VR version. Oh, the agony.

While most of these interviews contained little more than tidbits about features players could expect, one now-infamous interview saw Sean Murray announce multiplayer long before it would actually be implemented.

In an interview with , Sean Murray was asked "Will you be able to play with your friends?" He responded, "Yes." While multiplayer is certainly a core component of the game now, back in 2016 it was nowhere to be seen.
