168澳洲幸运5开奖网:No More Heroes 3 is finally out. While it proved divisive among critics, as seen i♊n our review roundup, it's still an excellent No More Heroes game that is sure to please fans of the first two entries in the series. Technical hiccups be damned, No More Heroes 3 is a triumph in many ways - we ওsay as much in our full review.

But as with many Grasshopper Manufacture games, Goichi "Suda51" Suda and his team had to make certain cutbacks. Scaling back scope is normal over the course of a game’s development, but rarely does it happen after most of the material is ready. We managed to ask Suda-san a number of questions about the Grasshopperverse and the development of No More Heroes 3, all of 💦which yoಌu can find in our full interview at the link.

When detailingꦉ cut content from No More Heroes 3, Suda-san explꦬains to us:

"One of the major cutbacks was, once we had finally finished all of the cutscenes, we realised there were over three hours altogether. We were like, 'Okay, this is just way too much, we're gonna have to cut back on some of this.' It took us a long time to figure out exactly what we could cut back without taking away from anything else. We ended up cutting about an hour of cutscenes. So it went from over three hours, and now there are about two hours of cutscenes in the game."

That's an hour of cutscenes the fans may never get to see, but as you can probably imagine, it's only the top of the pile when it comes to content cut from No More Heroes 3. Due to time and budget constraints, much more had to be left on the cutting room floor, including a wonderful dimension-hopping cameo from another member of the Grasshopperverse.

Suda-san explains what fans are missing out on iဣn detail - but fair warning, there are ꧂spoilers ahead.

SPOILERS FOR THE ENDING OF NO MORE HEROES 3

"[T]he fifth-ranked boss, her name is Midori Midorikawa,” Suda-san tells us. “In the game, Travis fights her, moves on, and the game progresses. At the end of the game, Travis gets killed, and he ends up getting sent off to a place called Blackhole Prison, and in this prison, Travis meets another prisoner named Fleming. Fleming and Travis end up fighting, and after the battle, they talk things out, and it's revealed that Fleming is not only a character from Shadows of the Damned, but he's also Midori Midorikawa's father.”

No More Heroes 3 is already a robust package, featuring plenty of character moments, flashy cutscenes, and memorable boss fights - but that doesn't mean this Shadows of the Damned crossover couldn't have gone further.

"There was another entire scenario that was going to go over this, but due to time and budget constraints, we ended up having to cut out the entire thing,” Suda-san says. “I'm really happy with the way the game shaped up in the end, but that's one of the things that I really would have liked to include - that particular scenario."

Travis from No More Heroes III

Suda-san gestures with his hands while nailing down the details of what he wanted from No More Heroes 3. "There are a lot of other things we had to cut from the game,” he says. “A lot of these things had to do with other characters and storylines from past Grasshopper games. There was more about Fleming - there were some things connecting the story to The Silver Case, for example, the character of Kamui, that would delve a bit further into his roots, what kind of guy he is, what kind of guy he's become. Unfortunately, there were a lot of things that we weren't able to realise in the end."

This is just another aspect of the overarching Grasshopperverse that combines all of Suda51's Grasshopper Manufacture games into a single, connected universe - even if some of those universes can be found in alternate dimensions. The rabbit hole deepens as Suda-san continues:

"For example, the Blackhole Prison I just mentioned - that's off not only in deep space, but in a space between realities, or worlds. There are other places not just in the No More Heroes series, but in the other Grasshopper games as well. You've got like Santa Destroy, which is here on Earth, and you've also got other places which, in my mind, exist in a parallel universe that itself is still part of this whole Grasshopper universe."
