Nintendo games garner massive amounts of excitement. A simple logo for Metroid Prime 4 has fans scrambling to discuss on social media. Every major video game company has big titles, but none can reach the amount of joy one gets from a new Super Mario or Legend of Zelda announce🀅ment. That's why Nintendo's shocking silence this summer has been quite noticeable. Despi🌟te Sony unveiling its impressive lineup of titles for its PlayStation 5 console, Nintendo hasn't announced anything recently. Most would agree that it's time for Nintendo to do something.

What DOES Nintendo Have Coming Out?

Taking a peak at for the year yields startling results. The only confirmed first-party title for the remainder of 2020 is this month's Paper Mario: The Origami King. The first Paper Mario experience on Nintendo Switch is a big deal, but that isn't enough to last the year. In fact, the only two new major first-party Nintendo releases for the year so far (aside from remakes and ports) is Animal Crossing: New Horizons and Paper Mario: The Origami King soon. The summer is going, and first-party fans don't appeꩵar to have anything to look forward to coming up.

There was a long drought of Nintendo Directs, but finally the company released a mini-Direct back in March. While good to have one, it would not be unreasonable to say it was a bit underwhelming. There was the hyped Xenoblade Chronicles: Definitive Edition for Switch. However, that was a port. The biggest new game announced was Square Enix's Bravely Default II. For any other notable Switch-centric games for the rest of 2020, there's Deadly Premonition 2, and also No More Heroes III, which was announced last year. The year is already halfway over, so an overall lack of major confirmed releases i🅘s concerning.

Nintendo hasn't been totally silent. Company president Shintaro Furukawa recently talked about 168澳洲幸运5开奖网:potential♋ly changing up the Direct format. While something perhaps even more innovative wouldn't be bad, the Nintendo Direct is still incredibly useful. Surprise announcements like with The Origami King are good, but the amount of hype surrounding Nintendo Directs is unparalleled. Nintendo also said there could be 168澳💎洲幸运5开奖网:delays for games planned for release in 2021. But, what about this year? Surely Paper Mario: The Origami King wasn't the fi𒁃nal major first-party release sched𝓡uled.

Nintendo needs something big to compete with the PS5 and Xbox Series X. Even little things like beefing up the SNES game lineup on Nintendo Switch Online with hits like Donkey Kong Country and Super Mario RPG would be beneficial. But, Nintend♌o has continued to keep things frustratingly close to the vest.
