If you've played a video game then you've probably heard Nolan North. North has 409 acting roles under his belt, according to , and he is not stopping anytime soon. He is easily one of the most sought after voice actors in the video game industry. His upcoming role being Tony Stark in Marvel's Avengers.

North has played several major characters across a variety of different games. Some of his earliest roles include Sigmund from Ratchet and Clank and The Prince from Prince of Persia. These are great roles but North has do🅰ne 🌠so much that it's nearly impossible to narrow it down to 10. This list is based on the popularity of the role and how well North's acting made the characters his own.

10 Corrupted Cores - Portal 2 🧜 ཧ

The great thing about Nolan North is his range. He can do serious characters, which we'll see later on, and genuinely silly roles. He is great with the humorful characters because he is a silly guy himself - they fit with his personality so well. A great example is the corrupted cores in . These three little guys show up during the boss fight with Wheatley. They are not a major part of the game but the iconic "spaaaaace" core made a lasting impression on gamers🌳. It became an iconic meme thanks to North✨'s brilliant voice work.

9 Desmond Miles - Assassin's Creed Series 𝄹

To be honest, Desmond Miles is not one of North's best roles. He had a lot going against him though. Most people did not enjoy the present-day storyline of , of which Desmond was the central character, and most of his script was rather boring. With that being said, the acting was not too bad since North played along with the apprehensive hero role. The sheer popularity of Assassin's Creed and the nostalgia for the older games makes this an iconic role. It's surprising that fans miss the presence of Desmond Miles now (or maybe they want a central protagonist again) after he was killed off in Assassin's Creed III.

8 ⛄ Remy Duvall - Mafia III

This character is the polar opposite of♍ the sweet Nolan North. Remy Duvall is an extremely evil and sick man: radio personality, white supremacist, and leader of a KKK inspired group. His radio show, Native Son, provokes Conservative Christian values. Behind the scenes, Duvall will kill anyone that does not fit his ideal person. The role helped North shine as an actor by putting on a sinister southern accent in a rather unique role for his career. North was capable of bringing the villain to life through his performance. So much so that pretty much everyone was happy when Duvall got burnt alive.

7 𝄹 Martin Walker - Spec Ops: Tඣhe Line

Spec Ops: The Line follows Martin Walker and his team, the United States Army's Delta Force, as they travel through a war-torn Dubai in search of survivors. North's portrayal of Walker is the driving force of the emotional narrative of Spec Ops: The Line. Martin comm🦂its many monstrous actions while on the job, which takes a toll on his mental state throughout the game. North does an excellent job of showcasing this dissent - the whole narrative depended on his performance. It's a realistic yet sad look at war and its effect on someone's mental state.

6 🦩 Ghost - Destiny Series

Let's take a break from the serious roles and look at this glorified door opener. Peter Dinklage of Game of Thrones fame originally voiced the small companion but was replaced by Nolan North. Dinklage was replaced due to other commitments and North was available ... of course, he was. He re-did every Ghost line from the original Destiny and returned for Destiny 2.

We are not here to compare the actors, who are both good at what they do, but to celebrate North's ability to bring a new perspective to Ghost's character. Nor𓆏th's Ghost was much more in🐷nocent and chipper sounding, changing the tone of the whole game. Both actors did great. It's just a matter of taste.

5 Pengui🎃n - Arkham Series

It's shocking when you first find out North played Penguin. He sounds nothing like Nathan Drake! This voice actor is more than a one-trick pony. He did a great job of bringing the iconic, umbrella-wielding villain to life. It's a daunting task to take on such a historic role but North was the right man for the job. He was able to make Penguin menacing while infusing him with the right amount of humor. Penguin fits right in with the Arkham rogues 💝gallery thanks to North's enthusiastic perfoไrmance.

4 ไ ඣ David - The Last of Us

The Last of Us™ Remastered_20160413212014

North actually does an excellent job with all of the bad guy roles. David i♏s a smooth-talking cannibal that runs into Ellie in The Last of Us. He seemed harmless at first until he locks Ellie in a cage with the intention to eat her. North has the creepy factor down, which drives this sectionꦑ of the game. It all culminates in a mini-boss fight where David is trying to stab Ellie with a machete. His taunts are haunting as they play a deadly game of hide and seek inside a burning building. This is North at his peak creepy and it makes for a great character.

3 ♏ Dr. Edward Richtofen 𒅌- Call of Duty Series

Edward Richtofen is a playable character in the Call of Duty World at War and Call of Duty Black Ops zombie modes. He was a German scientist known for intense and crazy torture practices. Richtofen was one of the pioneering characters for the zombie mode, which is now a fan-favorite part of the series. North's performance was strong enough to make Richtofen into an iconic character. This mad scientist is widely known among Call of Duty fans even though he do🎉es not appear in the main story. That should tell you something about North's insane take 𒆙on the character.

2 Deadpool

North is the go-to actဣor for any animated Deadpool, making him the perfect choice for the Deadpool video game. It's exactly how you would imagine the merc with the mouth to sound: a tiny bit annoying, fast-paced and comical. The game in and of itself is a joke and North has fun with it.

We get to see North go all out and be as stupid as he wants.♑ It's perfect for Deadpool who loves to break the fourth wall and be as immature as possible. The game was not that good but the Deadpool was spot on. Ryan Reynolds would be proud.

1 Na♒than Drake - Uncharted Series

Who is surprised? Nolan North is Nathan Drake. He will forever be known as the charming albeit cocky treasure hunter. In fact, North has an immense appreciation for this role. Nathan Drake changed his whole career and put him in the spotlight. Nathan Drake and Uncharted are the reasons for North's popularity. Uncharted is one of the best series on PlayStation thanks in large part to North's amazing performance. The🎀 crazy part is that Drake is genuine Nolan. There is not a big difference between actor and character and it works so well🐟.
