Tetsuya Nomura has confirmed that he has started work on Final Fantasy 7 Remake Part 3, which currently hasn't had its name officially revealed.

Last night during the Final Fantasy 7 25th anniversary stream, Final Fantasy 7 Rebirth was finally shown off and given a release window of Winter 2023. Another big bombshell reveal is that Square Enix officially confirmed that the remake will be spli🎉t into three parts, confirming that a third game is on the way, although it still remains unnamed.

Following the 25th anniversary stream, the official Final Fantasy Twitter account shared some words from some of the key people working on Final Fantasy 7 Rebirth. , who actually confirmed that work has already begun on the third part of the remake, despite the second not eve💟n having been released yet.

Nomura said, "The development of Final Fantasy 7 Rebirth has been progressing rapidly since we adopted a new development structure. A title of this scale in which everytಌhing is interconnected even before production h🅠as began is truly rare. In fact, some development has already begun on the third title. I myself have started on the development and am working towards the completion of the series."

This wasn't the only mention that Nomura made about the interconnected development style of Final Fantasy Rebirth either, , "As revealed on the broadcast, there are currently four Final Fantasy 7 projects being developed in parallel. Although each of the four titles plays a different role, they are all connected through the high-quality depictions of Final Fantasy 7's world and characters."

He continued, pointing out his 💞role in all of the Final Fantasy 7 projects so far and into the future, "As someone who was involved with the development of each and every one of the original titles, I deeply understand the vision and thoughts behind each project, and I am actively involved in the development process for all fo🔯ur titles."
