Contrary to what some may believe, the Uber-tier is not all Legendary Pokemon. There are some Ultra Beasts, Mythicals, and even regular Pokemon that can overperform to the point of being 168澳洲幸运5开奖网:ba🍒nned from regular competitive battl🌠ing.
While they're not immediately looked at as the crème de la crème de la crème, some of the non-Legendaries in that pool of banꩵn🌞ed Pokemon can prove to be very valuable in the Uber-tier meta. Currently, there are eight banned non-Legendary Pokemon, and this list will rank them worst to best in terms of how useful they are in the Uber battlegrounds.
8 Genesect
Genesect is a prime example of a Pokemon that's too overpowered to not be banned to Ubers, but has a difficult time against other Uber-level Pokemon. It's a great Pokemon in theory with good attacking stats and excellent typing, but it's hard to justify using it in the current Uber meta, with 168澳洲幸运5开奖网:other Steel-types like Dusk Mane Necrozma and Magearna available.
It doesn't help having Download, an ability that makes dealing damage a bit unreliable, since it might get a stat boost for Special Attack while using a purely physical moveset, and so on. Still, it's a passable offensive Pokemon, with access to U-Turn, Iron Head, and nice coverage moves.
7 Cinderace
Blaziken had been the Uber tier's starter presence for the past three generations, but Blaziken fell off in Generation VIII. It's since been overtaken by another starter, Galar's Cinderace, who dominated Smogon's OverUsed metagame for a while before being banned midway through the generation.
Cinderace is essentially a physical version of Greninja, rocking the Libero hidden ability that changes its type to that of whatever moves it uses, making all its attacks STAB. If that isn't appealing enough, Cinderace can basically make entry hazards obsolete, thanks to 168澳洲幸运5开奖网:one of its sigℱnature moves, Court Change.
6 Dracovish
The power of rain-boosted, Choice Band-boosted, Strong Jaw-boosted, STAB Fishious Rend was just too much for Smogon's OU tier to handle, making Dracovish one of the few regular Pokemon to be banned to the Uber tier.
There, it proves to be a huge threat against slower opponents, including Pokemon with supposedly high bulk and defenses. Where it can't really compete is against the tier's faster Pokemon, which is a lot thanks to Dracovish's low 75 Speed. With OK-at-best defenses, faster wallbreakers will have a field day facing it, so long as they can switch into the battlefield safely.
5 Pheromosa
There's hardly a better combination of Speed and offensive stats out there than that of UB-02 Beauty. With 151 Speed and 137 in both attacking stats, Pheromosa's potential as an offensive pivot is unlimited, especially with the power of its STAB U-Turn and pool of Fighting-type moves.
What holds it back slightly is its typing. Its Bug/Fighting-type, while not horrible, isn't ideal, leaving it vulnerable against the Uber-tier's 168澳洲幸运5开奖网:litany of Flying-types. That makes switching Pheromosa into the battle cleanly quite difficult without a necessary pivoting partner. It, of course, also has terrible defenses✃, so one 💧super-effective hit is sure to OHKO it.
4 G𒉰alarian Darmanitan 🍃
Another offensive nuclear bomb of a Pokemon, Galarian Darmanitan has access to ﷽two abilities that help maximize its revengౠe-killing ability.
Gorilla Tactics is essentially a Choice Band as an ability. That has prompted Uber-tier competitors to double down with another Choice Item, picking from either the Band or the Scarf. Zen Mode is tougher to achieve,🦹 with a Belly Drum and Substitute moveset being the easiest method, but the stat boosts it gives to Darmanitan are second-to-none. Either way, its offensive firepower is insane, with a solid selection of attacking moves; just avoid running int🔴o priority offense and Kyogre.
3 Naganadel
On paper, Naganadel isn't the most spectacular of the Ultra Beasts, but its particular niche in the Uber-tier is extremely valuable. It's a strong offensive Pokemon that works as a suitable answer to most of the Uber-tier's strongest Pokemon.
Its Poison-typing allows it to (1) check Fairy-types like Xerneas, (2) avoid getting hit by Toxic, and (3) absorb Toxic Spikes, which is quite common from Eternatus and other Naganadel. Its Dragon-typing gives it a strong catchall STAB attack: Draco Meteor. It has Nasty Plot for set-up, and even Steel-types aren't exactly safe thanks to its access to Fire-type moves.
2 Marshadow
Marshado👍w is one of the best wallbreakers in the tier, thanks in large part to its Fighting/Ghost-typing. Both types are a great one-two punch offensively, and it gives this Generation VII Mythical a ton of strong physical moves to work with, such as Close Combat, Poltergeist, Technician-boosted Shadow Sneak, and its signature stat-boost snatcher, Spectral Thief.
Unfortunately, it has a lot of problems to deal with defensively. While its bulk and defenses aren't bad, it's weak to a lot of the tier's strongest Legendaries matchup-wise. It also struggles dealing with great defensive walls if it's not using Bulk Up. 168澳洲幸运5开奖网:Buꦓild your team around it accordingly.
1 Magearna
Another recently banned Pokemon, Magearna is a holder of the fabled Steel/Fairy-type, which has helped it get by in the bloodbath that is the Uber tier. Having Fairy-type offense and the ability to check 168澳洲幸运5开奖网:other Fairy-types makes it an excellent team member.
It's a late-game sweeper by nature, via the excellent set-up move, Shift Gear, and the Soul-Heart ability, essentially a Special Attack version of Moxie. Its movepool is incredibly wide, but the crown jewel in that pool is its signature Fleur Cannon. Be sure to eliminate its checks, especially Fire- and Ground-types, before preparing a team sweep.
