Premier esports organizations NRG and FaZe Clan are reportedly looking to join 168澳洲幸运5开奖网:League of Legends Champions Korea, according to Korean news outlওet
It was 168澳洲幸运5开奖网:announced back in April🍌 that the LCK would be following in the footsteps of the LPL, LEC, and LCS by introducing long-term franchising to the world-renown esports league in 2021. Teams who are interested in joining the LCK must submit an application by June 19th, 2020.
Along with FaZe Clan and NRG, twenty-three other organizations have submitted letters of intent to invest according to Fomos. Among those twenty-three include the current ten LCK te♒ams and eight teams from Challengers Korea.
According to the Korean news outlet, submitting a letter of intent is not ac♔tually the same as applying, and just because a team submitted a letter of intent does not necessarily mean that the team will be formally applying for a spot in ✱the league as well.
For FaZe Clan, this move represents the esports juggernaut's first pursuit into the competitive League of Legends scene. The long list of titles that FaZe currently has players competing globally in includes 168澳洲幸运5开奖网:Call of Duty, CS:GO, PUBG, FIFA, and many more. As one of the most popular and successful esports organizations in the world, FaZe Clan would surely have the resources to build a premier roster in Korean League of Legends. On the other hand, this isn't NRG's first swing at League of Legends esports. Back in 2016, NRG actually competed in North America's LCS before being relegated after a disappointing 4-14 Summer Split. Similar to FaZe Clan, NRG fields a that includes former athletes Alex Rodriguez, Shaquille O'Neal, Marshawn Lynch, Michael Strahan, Jimmy Rollins, Ryan Howard, and celebrity Jenifer Lopez. With a list of names as recognizable as that, NRG shouldn't have a problem finding the resources to build a successful League of Legends roster either.
