The Game Awards is an event focused on the best of gaming's past and future. We celebrate the year behind us by giving its best games awards. Hence, you know, the title of the show. But we also get a ton of trailers for upcoming games and big announcements, such as the 168澳洲幸运5开奖网:official unve꧟iling of the Xbox Series X.
Fans know to expect these anno🌄uncements, and thus became an🅺ticipated for its announcements as much as the actual awards. This year, we were unfairly hyped over the appearance of Bunsen and Beaker from the Muppets. What started as a fun guest appearance became a cruel betrayal of my inner child.
The Game Awards invited stars from all over the entertainment world to preꦐsent at the ceremony. Vin Diesel made a surprise appearance, Reggie Fils-Amie kept up his perfect attendance record despite no longer working for Nintendo, and two Muppets graced the stage. Dr. Bunsen Honeydew and his assistant Beaker took the stage to present some award. Their real appeal was a bit playing with the idea of VR and creativity of indie games.
The bit starts off innocently enough. Beaker gets a VR headset stuck on his head and panics, leading to audience laughter. Then Bunsen reveals that the M🌸uppets have been🐻 working on a game of their own. That's when we see it. The glorious project known as "Untitled Beaker Game."
Beaker loads into an exact replica of the world of Untitled Goose Game. He wanders around in a curious manner until he's chased off by a citizen. At the end, he encounters the famous goose and gets scared. The whole thing is charming, hilarious, and made me honestly want Beaker DLC for Untitled Goose Game.
The fact that the bit was so well done and faithful to the look of Untitled Goose Game made others think the same. When I posted that I needed it to be real into TheGamer's chat, others൩ agreed they would throw down money f💖or the promise of playing as Beaker. So did Game Awards watchers on Twitter. Outlets like IGN even joined in to confirm that "Untitled Beaker Game" is not real.
So thanks for a great show, Geoff Keighley and Muppets. You made a fake game that looks so great that people are crushed because it's not real. I hope you sleep well tonight. 🧸Well except Beaker. I un-ironically hope he sleeps well because he's precious and deserves it.
