Nuclear Throne is an indie top-down shooter with elements of roguelike, a genre Hades opened up for the maiꦡnstream. The mix of genres brings with it a substantial🅠 challenge and necessitates split-second decision-making if the player is to reach the coveted Nuclear Throne.
The game's all about choice - there's medley of mutants and monsters to pick from. Each comes with unique mutations that constitute the build, 168澳洲幸运5开奖网:reminiscent of Dead Cells. So, to ease the strain of decision fatigue the characters are ranked on ease-of-use ꧒with risk minimization in mind; because truthfully every character is viable and properly balance🎐d.
12 Melting
Melting is a difficꦫult high-risk, high-reward character for people with great map awareness and control over screen real-estate. He starts the game with two HP meaning any hit could be his last. However, his passive makes enemies drop one extra Rad, allowing Melting to level up꧅ faster.
His active ability explod🌠es the corpses of vanquished foes dealing AoE damage, in the event that the corpse harvest is plentiful, they’ll explode simultaneously. The Throne Butt upgrade will triple the ⛎number of explosions. Melting is risky enough as it is so thankfully, he’s immune to this damage. With good foresight and planning, players can clear latter waves in a single explosion.
11 Rebel
Rebel has more sustainability, since her passive restores half of any missing health in between levels. Her risk factor rises from her active. At the cost of one HP, Rebel summons an ally for 20 seconds, sending out a projectile volley once time runs out. Subsequent summons will increase the health toll but reset the alꦆly timer.
With Throne Butt the allies wi𝓰ll shoot 60 percent faster allowing for better damage and faster clearance. To be a good Rebel it’s necessary to know when to take which risk – whether it’s to summon extra help or to tough it out until the next portal.
10 Chicken
The world is on fire, barbarians are 👍at the gate and you have the audacity to ask for her help? Chicken is the sword-wielder of NT. She can hurl it dealing substantial damage, insta-killing most enemies. It bounces and travels a good distance. The upgrade is even more impressive – it pierces through several enemies at once.
Her passive makes her hard to kill. As she dies her flailing corpse will be playable for a bit dealing damage and able to make pick-ups. If HP is picked up then Chicken is resuscitated. However, by laws of 168澳洲幸运5开奖网:equivalent exchange, her max HP 𝄹is reduced by two every time. With🐽 enough health packs, the max can be regained.
9 Rogue
Rogue ca🎃n expertly control the battlefield but has several risky mechanics. Being a rogue IDPD member she has to deal with extra enemies that don’t drop anything. She also takes longer to level as instead of a Rad canister at level&rsqu⛄o;s end she replenishes a single charge of her ability.
The ability consists of three charges of a moving chain of explosions anywhere on the screen that destroys terrain. Unlike Melting these explosions damage the player. Her ꦗpassive is no less aggressive, if Rogue takes damage, she will cause a micro explosion around her. This kit ma﷽kes her a monster at clearing hordes and destroying bosses.
8 Steroids
As parodied so often by the likes of 168澳洲幸运5开奖网:One Punch Man, immense strength can also be a special power. Steroids’ comical strength somehow makes the fire-rate of all weapons automatic. However, it&rsquo♕;s a double-edged sword as the projectiles have a higher spread, incr🎃easing inaccuracy.
Steroids can dual-wield, once again, not an ability but still useful. What’s more, the TB upgrade has a chance to regenerate ammo when firing from the othಌer weapon. This symbiotic relationship compounds, so a bit of luck and right mutations can render Steroids unapproachable as he’s never not firing.
7 Eyes
His ocular motif crowd control-centric playstyle is somewhat reminiscent of, well, Control. Eyes' is like a psychic-type Pokemon, whose telekinetic ability allows him to reposition anything in the space surrounding him including ammo, weapons, health, and even enemies. When active it also slows down projectiles, which pass him by, making him a problematic target.
His passive is his Achilles heel, it allows him to see in the dark but tꦑhat is only relevant in three stages o💖ut of the standard 16. Despite this somewhat waste of a slot, Eyes is still a force to be reckoned with and a good fit for players who like to create intelligent setups and execute them.
6 Horror
Horror is he 168澳洲幸运5开奖网:cute or menacing? Well, he is definitely special, as Horror gets five mutation slots instead of four, making him that much more versatile. He particularly excels in the latter stages of the game. However, the challenge here is resource management, 𒆙as Horror’s potent active ability drains Rad.
Horror fires a radiation beam dealing damage and disposing of enemy projectiles. The longer it's held the wider it becomes, which comes in handy the farther the player progresses. Once the Throne Butt mutation is acquired things become easier as the beam gains width twice as fast and for every second it’s held down one HP is regained.
5 Fish
Fish is the baseli💞ne for all other characters so it’s fair that he is square in the middle. His kit is not as out-there as with some other entries but it does its job extremely well. His primary focus is a beginner-friendlไy offense.
Fish gets a curt dash of speed with his roll. He also operates with 25 percent more ammo than any other character at all times. These two factors make him avoid🐠 the most common challenges of the game by a significant 💯margin. His TB transforms the dash into a perpetual water boost, which isn’t only satisfying but looks great too.
4 Crystal
Crysಞtal is the defensive beginner choice and fits those drawn towards a cautious play style. She starts with two more HP than the rest of the cast, increasing her survivability but her bread and butter is her active ability.
Via Crystal Shield, she is able to block green projectiles and deflect the red ones. Naturally, no character is without risk so her crystal form is not immune to melee or laser type damage. It also has a start-up, leaving her vulnerable.🔯 When upgraded the ability becomes Crystal Teleport reducing start-up and allowing to blink through walls, making Crystal even harder to kill.
3 Plant
Ironically the fastest character present,🐷 Plant can weave and chase enemies around. His active compliments this, allowing Plant to snare enemies. This basic kit of abilities makes Plant the easiest character to use.
The vine throw that can snare enemies does come with a few drawbacks, which is good to keep in mind. First is that while immobile enemies are still able to shoot, and if the player fires a second vine, then the first instantly disintegrates. The TB exponentially increases Plant’s kill potential, as the snare will now insta-kill all enemies with less than a third of HP, allowing for quicker boss times and ammo conservation. Mario better 168澳洲幸运5开奖网:watch out for this monster of nature.
