We’ve finally got🐲 some stats for the upcoming NVIDIA GeForce 3090, and the numbers are about as large as the caꦚrd itself.
Next week, we’ll get our first offic𒈔ial look at the next generation of NVIDIA graphics cards. We’ve got some high expectations thanks to rumors saying that the new Ampere technology will push the RTX 3080 to be 30% faster than the current b💫est-in-class card, the RTX 2080Ti.
Now we have a new leak from that clarifies some of the earlier rumors. First off, there's no 3080Ti--instead, NVIDIA w꧂ill unveil the RTX 3090 as their new flagship device, and it has some pretty insane numbers. It’s got a whopping 24 GB of GDDR6X memory, which puts it on par with the current-gen Titan RTX line of ultra-fast graphics cards.
It’ll also be extraordinarily large. Leaked photos show an RTX 3090 that will take up 3 full PCI-E slots on the motherboard. Some boards don’t even have th🉐at many slots, and certainly many compact cases don’t have space in the back panel to support such a monstrous card.
The RTX 3090 will also have a monstrous 🤡price tag, with rumors pointing 🎉to $2000. Considering the Titan RTX cards clock in at $2,500, that seems cheap.
As for the RTX 3080, it will have a more reasonable profile that puts it on par with the current 2080Ti. It’ll have 10 GB of GDDR6X m𝓰emory and have a significant speed i🌞ncrease over the previous-gen card.
We'll find out more when NVIDIA hosts its big reveal show on September 1st. The GeForce Special Event, as it's being billed, will have NVIDIA CEO Jensen Huang delivering the keynote address ju꧙st before showcasing the new lineup of four cards, including the RTX 3090, 3080, 3070, and 3060. Pricing and partner versions of each card from companies like ASUS, MSI, and Zotac wꦑill also be revealed.
