Early this morning, Nvidia took the covers of🔜f the , two widely expected upgrades of the current RTX 3080 and 3070. Both offer greater power and performance than their predecessors for an increased price, but with the current chip shortage, whether you'll be able to find either of these cards is an open question.
The 3080 Ti arrives on June 3 with a♛n MSRP of $1199--that's almost 60% more than the $699 price tag of the 3080, although it's almost impossible to find a 3080 for that price. Given that, Nvidia's four-figure sticker price is likely a reflection of the current market and not✤ necessarily the 3080 Ti's increased performance over the 3080. With 2 more GB of GDDR6X RAM and roughly 1500 more CUDA cores, the RTX 3080 Ti is certainly an upgrade, but not necessarily a 60% upgrade.
You can see the 3080 Ti in action thanks to this recent trailer showcasing the ray tracing upgrade🎃 for D🐠oom Eternal.
On the other hand, the RTX 3070 Ti is priced far more reasonably at just $599. It has the same 8 GB of VRAM as the regular 3070, but uses the faster GDDR6X type rather than just regular old GDDR6. The 3070 Ti also has a slightly higher clock speed and more CUDA Cores, offering computational power measured 🍸at 22 Shader TFLOPS, 42 ray tracing TFLOPS, and 174 tensor TFLOPs.
According to Nvidia, thatౠ's 50% more performance t🃏han the RTX 2070 Super. Probably not enough to get you to jump from a 3070 to its Ti version, but certainly enough to warrant an upgrade from one of the older GTX-series cards.
But as with the RTX 3080 Ti, the 168澳洲幸运5开奖网:global chip shortage brings into question Nvidia’s ability to supply a starving games market with GPUs. M♛ost online retailers are completely sold out of all modern AMD and Nvidia video cards, and that situation isn’t likely to improve in the near future.
