Oblivion's Cyrodiil has the most visual variation when it comes to Elder Scrolls games. While titles like Morrowind and Skyrim have a very singular aesthetic style, Oblivion has the advantage of difference (168澳洲幸运5开奖网:including the homes, too).
As with its guards. While of course game developers can't spend thousands of hours giving every single NPC a different set of clothing and hair, it is nice to have some changes when it comes to things like guards, especially when it's location-based - it just helps with world-building. Though the style and suave of the uniforms vary from city to city, we've taken the time to see who's chic, and who belongs in fashion prison.
8 Leyawiin
Luckily for Leyawiin, even the least fashionable on the list doesn't look too bad. It's not that the mainly white ensemble is ugly, necessarily, it is just a bit bland. Leyawiin actually has one of the best sigils and shields, with the bright green color and prancing unicorn. It is just unfortunate it has to be paired with such a gauche outfit.
While all the guards across Cyrodiil wear the same helmet with a nose guard, the white of the uniform somehow makes it stand out more and makes them all look just 168澳洲幸运5开奖网:that much stranger.
7 𓃲 Cheydinhal ﷽
With easily the most stylish castle in the region, it's a wonder why the Cheydinhal guards don't have a better uniform. The greens, browns, and yellows of the cuirass all mesh together into a color combo that isn't necessarily offensive, but is a bit, well, "meh." The pattern of the cuirass isn't horrible, however, the placement is just unappealing. The fact that it is constrained to a rectangle on the chest and not the whole cuirass just doesn't work for the look.
Once again though, the shield pattern is quite interesting to lo✨ok at, and beꦚsides the colors, it adds at least a bit of style to the outfit.
6 Anvil
Strong patterns are definitely in style in the real world, but for some reason, it is just not working on the Anvil guards. The orange-red and black padded armor cuirass is just a lot. It evokes a tacky '70s wallpaper, and blasting the pattern in a larger form on the shield doesn't do much else to make the outfit look chic.
It doesn't seem like stealth is their strong suit either, as they are sure to stand out in most atmospheres, and in any crowds.
5 Bravil
Here's where things reach an overall aesthetically pleasing look. While not uber-stylish, the mint green of the Bravil guard uniform is pleasant, if not a bit out of place in the Elder Scrolls universe.
It also clashes a bit with the dark green and brown of the shield, but overall looks alright together. The nimble deer on the cuirass and the shield are also compositionally interesting, and somehow the lightness of the animal goes with the lightness of the green. Bravil also gets some risk-taker points, as it has a unique shield shape, being some sort of ro💮unded trapezoid.
4 Imperi𒅌al City 𝓰
The guards in the Imperial City are nothing if not flashy. But lucky for them, it's working. They are unique in their design; where most of the uniforms seem to be based mainly on some sort of medieval European aesthetic, the Imperials look slightly more roman. Particularly with the belt, and their large showy helmets.
Definitely not for everyone, these guards commit the faux-pas of combining gold and silver, they even go as far as to sport red decals. They also have the most powerful weapons, adding further to the show-off moment that they are having🎐.
3 Bruma
Bruma brings the bold. With an overall cohesive look, Bruma employs a 💙black and yellow color scheme and keeps it throughout the cuirass and tཧhe shield. The yellow is not overbearing, however, like the Anvil print, as it is broken up with some dark brown at the shoulders, and with the belt.
The bold and intricate bird sigil is displayed prominently, becoming a calling card for the city and its citizens itself. While not the most fashionable out of the whole nation, Bruma is definitely one of the better-looking ensembles. 168澳洲幸运5开奖网:No matter your playstyle, you'll be looking nice if you grab some Bruma armor.
2 Skingrad
Skingrad is the most striking and bold out of all the uniforms. Its black, red, and white are easily the most out-there out of all the outfits, and the graphic design of the moon sigil is just⛄ as iconic.
The smaller, circle shield also works with the outfit, as a larger one would be gawkier, and the circle really compliments the smooth moon shape. Its simplicity is its strongest asset, and the Skingrad guards must feel at least a littl♒e lucky to wear such fashionable outfits.
1 Chorrol
The guards in Chorrol are most certainly the best dressed 🍒in all of Cyrodiil. Where the Skingrad uniforms are nice because they are bold, the Chorrol uniforms work because they are understated. The darker colors give the wearer an almost brooding look, and they look quite poetic with the strong imagery of the white tree displayed on their shields and chests.
The dark blue is just enough color to look nice, but not too much as to overwhelm, which is where Bruma's downfall lies. Chorrol guards are by far the best dressed, and you can only hope it positively affects their performance.
