Being a vampire in The Elder Scrolls brings with it a host of opportunities for deeper role-playing, not to mention some real gameplay perks (and associated weaknesses as well). In 168澳洲幸运5开奖网:Oblivion Remastered, the fourth entry in the best-selling series is given a fresh coat of paint, and you've still got every reason to look for fresh blood, too.

We've got quest walkthroughs for The Elder Scrolls V: Sky🦩rim's Dawngua🅠rd expansion right here.

Oblivion doesn't have a grand vampiric tale, a la Sk🎉yrim's Dawnguard expansion. But it still has just about everything you'd come to expect from The Elder Scrolls' spin on creatures of the night. If you're looking to join the ranks of the vampires, here's how to do just that.

How To Become A Vampire In Oblivion Remastered

Standing inside a chapel in Oblivion Remastered.

We'll leap straight into the heart of the matter before going over the reasons to consider - or not consider - becoming a vampire in Ob𒈔livion Remastered.

The process is actually fairly straightforward; in fact, it's more difficult to avoid vampirism, depending on where you ro🍌am, than it is to embrace it.

  1. Engage in combat with a vampire. Alternatively, get deep enough into the Dark Brotherhood questline that you're offered the chance to become a vampire.
  2. Become afflicted with the active effect known as Porphyric Hemophilia as a result of the conflict (or choice).
  3. Allow 72 hours (three full days) to transpire between the moment you were inflicted and the next step on this list. This is your timeframe for curing vampirism before it takes root.
  4. After the 72-hour mark has passed, rest somewhere, and when you awaken, the game will tell you that you've had a peculiar dream.
  5. Let another 24 hours pass, rest again, and you'll get another dream.
  6. One more set of 24 hours, one more rest, and one more dream. Upon awakening, you're a vampire!

Poryphic Hemophilia is a disease, for the record. You can check it out via the character menu at any time; it'll go away and be replaced with your vampire status after the abꦛove conditions have been fulfilled.

Stage Progression

Pros and Cons

  • At each of the four stages, you gain incremental Skill and Attribute bonuses per the aforementioned lists
  • At stage one, you gain Hunter's Sight
  • At stage two, you gain Vampire's Seduction
  • At stage three, you gain Reign of Terror
  • At stage four, you gain Embrace of Shadows
  • Your appearance will shift rather unfavorably, and from stage two onward, negative remarks will be made and many NPCs will not speak to you
  • At stage four, guards will not accept yields should combat arise against them

The stages we've been mentioning are dictated by the time since last you've fed. Feeding is as important for vampires in Oblivion as one would imagine; these are the four stages, based upon how long it's been:

  1. Stage One: You have fed within the last 24 hours.
  2. Stage Two: You have fed within the last 24-48 hours.
  3. Stage Three: You have fed within the last 48-72 hours.
  4. Stage Four: You have not fed in at least 72 hours.

While this might make it sound like there's no good reason to ever move down from Stage Four, your light sensitivity won't just affect sun damage; it will take a very literal effect as well, in that the game's brightness levels will be cranked so high that it can become genuinely intrusive during the daytime.

This glare doesn't entirely go away, per se, at night; light sources will still cause serious strain by Stage Four.

You can only feed on sleeping persons, and, unsurprisingly, if you're spotted while feeding, it is treated as a crime. The 40-gold fine, however, really isn't so bad... all thi🎉ngs considered.

Curing Vampirism

As curing vampirism requires a full quest, we have a guide on it here. It's important to note that, in Oblivion, you cannot become a vampire ever again if you've been cured of it, so think careful♌ly൲ before proceeding.
