Nobody deserves to feel like life is no longer worth living, especially someone like Hirrus, a man who’s struggling and suffering, convinced that there’s no way out of his misery. His plight is tragic, and his request for help is unlike any other quest you’ll encounter in The Elder Scrolls IV: Oblivion Remastered.

When you meet Hirrus, he doesn’t ask f🐬or a weapon or a magical artifact - he asks something far more unusual, something that might make you question the nature of his suffering. This quest takes you on a journey that’s both unsettling and thought-provoking, but you are here to help people after all, right?

This quest is part of the Shivering Isles DLC.

How To Start The Final Resting Quest

Make your way to Crucible and ask people around about rumors. Some of them will mention Hirrus Clutumnus. Alternatively, you can locate him just roaming around the town.

When you first speak to him, he will ask you to meet him after dark by the sewer grate northeast of the large statue of Sheo🏅gorath. So, skip time until midnight and meet 🏅him there.

Strangely enough, the man wants you to end his life to stop his suffering, and he was hoping that you would be t༺he one to do the deed for him.

Player just pushed Hirrus from a ledge - Oblivion Remastered

There are multiple ways in which you can kill Hirrus, and you can get very creative with it. You can sneak behind him in a dark al༒ley and take𒉰 him out, or you can simply attack him in plain sight.

Howev🌜er, one particular death that would be ide💟al is the one we'll talk about.

Every evening, Hirrus stands right at the top of a long drop near the palace, where you 𒅌can follow him there and then speak to him.

During the conversation, you will have the option to push him, making his🌜 death look like an accident and p🍸utting the poor man out of his misery.

Doing it this way won't trigger any gua𒁏rds or a bounty 🐎on you, and it seems like the ideal way to end his suffering.

Now that he's dead, loot his corpse to get his house key and make your way to his house, whiꦅch is just a bit south. Inside, head to the upper floor.

Rewards for helping Hirrus - Oblivion Remastered

On the cupboard just in front of the bed, you will find the jewel box containing Hirrus Clutumnus's Will and the Ring of Happiness as part of your reward.
