168澳洲幸运5开奖网:Cyrodiil is huge, and Oblivion drops you right in the middle of it. The world is practically begging to be explored, so much so that many play🌄ers put off completing the main quest entirely, instead opting to g⛄o adventu⛎ring and complete side quests.

However, if you're one of these people, ther🍸e is one situation in which you absolutely should focus on the main story: when you're escorting Martin and Jauffre to Cloud Ruler Temple near Bruma. This makes both of them temporary companions, following you everywhere unless you tell them to stay put. They're also tagged as essential, so they can't die, prompting many to bring the pair along to help them i♔n fights.

One 168澳洲幸运5开奖网:Oblivion Remastered player did just this, but it proved to be a fatal mistake. According to Reddit user Different-Ticket2974, they're now locke♔d out of beating the main story because they got Martin and Jauffre removed from the game entirely.

Apparently, You Can Lose Martin And Jauffre For Good In Oblivion Remastered

"I completed the main quest line up until the point you need to take Martin and Jauffre to Cloud Ruler Temple," says Different-Ticket2974. "I then decided I wanted to run through the Arena and Guild quests before I continued. Martin and Jauffre followed me for the entirety of both 168澳洲幸运5开奖网:the Arena and 168澳洲幸运5开奖网:Fighters Guild stories."

Then, the player moved on to completing tasks for the 168澳洲幸运5开奖网:Mages Guild. Since one route in the Bruma recommendation quest involves stealing from some꧙one, they told Martin and Jauffre to wait, meaninဣg they were no longer following the player around. After this, they went off adventuring again, leaving the pair in the Bruma Guild building.

Spoiler for the Mages Guild quest line ahead.

And then... necromancers attacked. This is part of the Mages Guild storyline, seeing the B🦂ruma chapter wiped out.

Now, Martin and Jauffre are tagged as essential, so they should have survived, right? Well... they did. It's just that the building they are standing in actually doesn't exist in the game anymor🎶e. You see, the destroyed😼 version of the building is actually a new area, in terms of the game's code. When the associated quest is started, the game swaps the regular version of the building out with this ruined version, making the previous one inaccessible to the player. The game seemingly doesn't account for the fact that Martin and Jauffre could have been left in there, so it didn't transport them over.

This might be one of the most tragic softlocks I've heard of in a while. Sure, it's very unlikely that most players will encounter this, but it's made more frustrating by the fact they they were so close to Cloud Ruler Temple. It's literally just a short walk from Bruma🍎. So close,🥀 and yet so far.

Normally, if🌜 you lose Martin and Jauffre during this quest, you can just fast travel to bring them back. Or, you can rush to Cloud Ruler Temple yourself ♍and wait around for them to make their way there. However, in this instance, the player is screwed, because they told the pair to wait. They were loyal to a fault.

Even if the chances of this happening to many others are very, very low🥀, we'll have to wait and see if this ends up getting patched out. After all, it is technically possible, and if you're not on PC and don't have access to console commands, you'll have to start the game all over again - or hope you have a save file from before you made this mistake.
