Hikari has departed his kingdom aflame and made his way across the world to distant Montwise, where he's fought in an arena and rallied the spirits of local gladiators. Now he's returning to his native western continent, but far to the north from Ku, to the forested Leaflands where shady dealings are bringing weaponry to Hikari's war-loving brother.
168澳洲幸运5开奖网:Octopath Traveler 2 continues with Hikari's third chapter, an investigation into arms smuggling that results in another encounter with a rival and the sad end to a seemingly decent man. Let's get started, travelers.
Town Phase: Wellgrove
Our job is to find out who's initiating this weapons shipment and stop it from reaching Mugen's hands. We're looking for a local merchant - we'll find him in the tavern, so let's head there. Once you've arrived, chat with the fellow, whose name is Azuma. All we need to do is Bribe him, though that requires ensuring that it's nighttime or else you won't have access to Hikari's less honorable path action.
There isn't a whole lot else to do here in Wellgrove. If it's your first time in town, take stock of the shops and enjoy speaking with every NPC to the fullest extent - which is to say, using path actions like Inquire/Scrutinize to learn the location of hidden items and new quests, or Hire to take them along for a mass selling spree to earn money quickly. (More on that in the link below.)
Grab the Nimble Mantle to the west of Alrond's Manse at the north end of town.
When you're readily armed with Azuma's intel, make for the Secret Forest.
Dungeon Phase: Secret Forest
Octopath Traveler 2 isn't known for its complicated dungeons. Etrian Odyssey this is not. Even so, there are usually a few twists and turns involved to some extent - arbitrary though they may be, they'll lead to treasure chests and the like. Horseshoe-shaped dungeons are commonplace, where you'll see your destination at the start, but you need to go around the long way to get there. Simple stuff, but a tad lively.
The Secret Forest eschews all hints of subtlety. You're headed west - to the left, that is - the entire time you're here. We advise keeping it nighttime for two reasons, one more important than the other. Frivolously? It looks cooler. Pragmatically? You can take advantage of Throné's talent to give your party buffs for the first three turns per battle. Plenty of foes here are weak t🐼oꦦ Daggers, so this works out rather neatly, since our thief lass has those in spades.
A couple of screens into the Secret Forest, and you'll already have arrived at your destination. Here, we'll find Ritsu, as well as an older man leading the operation by the name of General Rou. Rou will be our chapter boss, but first we'll face off against a small group of Ku soldiers. They're pushovers, so handle them as you like. This is where the fun begins.
Boss Phase: General Rou
Four-against-one, General Rou would be a cakewalk, but we're relying upon Hikari's honor here, meaning it's a one-versus-one duel. Challenge him (you may need to switch to daytime to do so) to initiate the battle. Rou is weak to Polearms, Axes, and Lightning. The Lightning weakness probably won't mean much to you, unless you have Scholar as Hikari's second class (which we don't recommend since his Elemental Attack innate value is pretty slim).
Thankfully, Warriors have both Polearms and Axes, so the other two are easy to work with. Rou only has four Shield Points, too, meaning you can save up full BP to break him all at once, though we would recommend doing it turn-by-turn instead so you have your full BP spread for when he's broken. Heal when needed whilst working♕ toward breaking Rou.
Vengeful Blade works great here, just as it did with previous chapter bosses, since using it means you will hit Rou every time he hits you.
Rou has a fair bit of HP, though nothing you can't knock off in due time at recommended levels. Save your latent powers for him - and Brand's Blade if you have it already! - and he'll go down soon enough. Alas, Hikari might not be the one to put Rou in his place for good and all...
