Veterans of the original Octopath Traveler will surely notice the developers have shaken things up with 168澳洲幸运5开奖网:Octopath Traveler 2. Character stories are no longer as straightforward as first-through-fourth-chapter in approach; there are wrinkles, like multiple paths for a single chapter, or - in the case of our friendly merchant extraordinaire Partitio - a slew of special missions called 'Scent of Commerce' quests.

The Scent of Commerce quests will ultimately prove equally important to Partitio's 'normal' chapters, as you will need to have completed them in order to progress past certain points later in the story. Here's how to tackle each one and grow Partitio's burgeoning empire of good old-fashioned know-how.

The Scent Of Commerce: Sai

Partitio Octopath Traveler 2 Partihardi

You can complete the Scent of Commerce quests in any order. There are three total, and they'll all pop up on your world map once Partitio is part of the team. We've chosen to cover Sai first, as it's arguably the least consequential of the three in terms of reward - though it's still pretty nifty.

Swing by Sai, and once you have arrived at this far-west town, ascend to the house atop the hill overlooking the settlement with Partitio in your party. Doing so initiates a cutscene which introduces a wealthy man named Masoud, whose manuscripts are legendary among aspiring merchants the world over. Partitio very much wants to read them, but Masoud has lost faith in the buyers and sellers of today, and issues a challenge - we need to find Masoud's greatest treasure and bring it before him.

We're going to be wrong first, but we've got to be wrong to move on. Locate Masoud's daughter; she's toward the center of Sai, with a conspicuously different outfit from the rest of the local folk. Tap into Partitio's Hire action to enlist her as part of the team, an🀅d brin♛g the lass before her father.

Remember to switch to nighttime if necessary, since Partitio's daytime path action, Purchase, is separate from Hire.

Alas, it's no good. Masoud's daughter is not, in fact, his greatest treasure. Before she leaves, the daughter offers a hint; tap into that hint, or better yet, just do what we're about to tell you to do. Attempt to hire Masoud himself. Masoud is his own greatest treasure. Nice... we guess. Your reward for this is the chance to peruse the Mercantile Manuscript, which offer no tangible effects on gameplay but do provide a wellspring of nifty lore. Which is still rather cool!

The Scent Of Commerce: Winterbloom

Partitio Scent Of Commerce Violin Lady

You'll be shocked to read this, but the Winterbloom Scent of Commerce quest takes place in Winterbloom, so head to Winterbloom. Once you're there, go due east to the large house at the end of town with Partitio in the🎃 party to meet an aspiring inventor with a rather intriguing little voice-recording device. Pa🍸rtitio... smells commerce.

The inventor, Audley, needs a fellow like Partitio to make his dream come true. That's where we come in. Your goal is to hire three separate musicians from across Solistia, one by one, and bring them here to record their music.

Partitio Octopath Traveler 2 A CultureD ear

You can use path actions other than Partitio's Hire ability in order to compel folks to tag along, but you'll need Partitio to be in your active party when you get back to Audrey, regardless. Save money by using Temenos' daytime Guide ability rather than Partitio's Hire!

The three musicians can be found in the following locations. Since we're using Temenos, you can safely assume these are where you'll find the musicians during the daytime.

  • Violinist: Canalbrine (Tavern).
  • Guitarist: Crackridge (Entrance).
  • Pianist: Flamechurch (Chapel).

When you've brought each musician to record their piece, the quest will end, with Audley inventing the gramophone. You can now play music at every tavern in Octopath Traveler 2, and various places will even sell individual mus♛ic tracks so that you can add to your collection!

The Scent Of Commerce: Tropu'hapu

Partitio Octopath Traveler 2 Introducing Terry

The last of the Scent of Commerce quests (again, per our random order in this guide; they unlock simultaneously) is easily the coolest of the lot. Your reward for this quest is your very own ship, complete with an explorable sea filled to the brim with treasure chests and optional areas. You'll need to acquire the ship before the end of the game, as the final chapter (which is available only after completing every character's story) mandates it.

But the sooner you get the ship, the better. You won't need to rely upon paying for passage between the continents and archipelago, and you'll have far earlier access to a ton of great stuff. So, let's assume you'll complete this quest as soon as you reach Tropu'hapu... and have the cash to spare.

Partitio Octopath Traveler 2 Unfinished Vessel

See that price tag above? There's no lowering it. That's right - in order to purchase the boat, you will need to save up one hundred thousand leaves. Depending on when you reach this quest, that may seem insurmountable, or it may be doable on-the-spot. Either way, to get started with this Scent of Commerce quest, venture to Tropu'hapu, move to the easternmost side of the screen and over to another screen, and witness the scenes.

Chat with Terry when you can, and bear witness to one of our boy Partitio's finest speeches. Terry will need some real convincing, though, which means 100,000 leaves must be scrounged up. You can follow 168澳洲幸运5开奖网:our money-making guide to help pave your path toward that end.

When you've got the dough, Terry'll fork over the vessel, and you'll get to choose its color and the symbol on its flag. There's no escaping ol' romantic Partitio's decision to name the ship Grand Terry, however.

That 100k payout is intense, but once you've thoroughly explored the sea, some of the treasure chests you'll find will net you about 85k or so back right then and there; multiple chests contain lofty sums of leaves. That's in addition to the even better prizes out on the high seas, plus the optional bosses, and the neat rewards lurking behind them!
