The third chapter of Throné's story in 168澳洲幸运5开奖网:Octopath Traveler 2 has her finally cornering her prey - the so-called 'parental' figures of the Blacksnakes - Mother and Father. Once you've dealt with chapter two, you have two routes available to you, one for each 'parent'.
If you head to Montwise on the eastern continent, you'll be tackling Father's route, though you'll need to defeat both before can progress to the final chapter. This route sees Throné taking on a vicious knife fighter and a man who seems to know everything there is to know about the underhanded side of life.
Town Phase: Montwise
When you arrive in Montwise, Throné stops to think about her resolve to kill Father. Afterward, you're directed to the east, toward the Abandoned Traverse, which is a dungeon area.
Before heading there, though, make sure you are stocked up on healing items - the Item Shop in Montwise carries Healing Grapes (M) and Olives of Life - have a healthy reserve 𒀰of these; the boss of this chapter is a doozy.
The Item Shop also carries strong mage weaponry if you have any Sch🔯olars or Clerics in the party.
Dungeon Phase: Abandoned Traverse
Right to the action, the Abandoned Traverse is accessed via the bridge leading to the east from town. Save your game at the entrance and continue on to the right. Pick up the Bottle of Poison Dust to the left of the bridge and then cross it to meet up with Father.
After the cutscene, continue on. Pick up the Energizing Pomegranate from the chest on the other side of the bridge and then head south. A short detour to the left behind a tree on a hill will lead to a chest containing a Guardian Amulet. This is a nice defensive accessory that improves the wearer's defense by 65.
Press on and grab the Ice Soulstone (M) from the nook before the stairs. Medium Soulstones are great for targeting elemental weaknesses while doing a respectable amount of damage.
Eventually, you'll reach the church on the hill. After the cutscene detailing Father's past, enter the church.
Dungeon Phase: Abandoned Church
This is another short dungeon. Head to the right, ignoring the first set of stairs you come across. There is a red chest behind the podium in the background that contains a Black Dagger and a regular chest in the foreground that contains a Healing Grape Bunch.
If you haven't been scouring the world for great weapons, the Black Dagger might be an excellent upgrade for Throné - it increases the user's speed while also having a chance to inflict Blind when used in battle. Not a bad get at all!
Backtrack to the stairs and head up, walking over the podium from earlier. When you descend on the other side, grab the nearby chest for an Inspiriting Plum Basket.
The rest of the dungeon is incredibly linear, just keep an eye out for the chest containing an Olive of Life (M) found just after the save point. When you're ready, head up to the altar and take on the boss. You already know who it is.

Father is a foe with a lot of physical power behind him. As a result, you'll have the most success with a party of highly-defensive allies. Using the Warrior job's Incite ability to draw the single-taregt attacks (and then counterattack with Vengeful Blade) would be very useful, as would a Cleric for some party-wide healing in response to the party-wide assaults.
One of Father's more annoying tricks in this fight is that he'll use Lacerate Arm on your entire party. This will inflict a few turns of physical attack debuffs, making your attacks weaker. For this reason, relying more on elemental damage is the way to go, so characters like Osvald and Temenos will shine here, especially if you give Osvald the Cleric or Arcanist sub-job and have them both use Light spells.
Bringing another character with Thief as a sub-job is another great way to efficiently Break Father - HP Thief will target his Dagger weakness twice per turn, so you can theoretically blow through four of his Break points per round with 𓆉two Thieves - the added HP regeneration is also a very nice bonus that takes some pressure off your healing.
When he gets low on HP, Father will interrupt the battle for a spiel about how he raised Throné to kill him. After this, Father's speed will rise permanently, and he'll get two attacks per round.
He doesn't get many new tricks in this phase, but one that you should look out for is Killing Blow. This will deal a huge amount of damage, so be ready for the Olives of Life! Annoyingly, this might interrupt the flow of your entire strate🌺gy, so try to take a random upset like this attack into account when formulating one.
As with all other bosses, Father has an enrage phase in which he'll get a purple aura. If you cannot interrupt this attack, he'll use Assassination, which is an instant kill. Just treat this as another Killing Blow but with more certainty and warning. He'll only use this when he's very low on health, so take it as a sign that you're close to the end.
For winning, you'll get the Marietta Daggꦇer, which is a very nice weapon - aside from the high amount of physical attack that it grants, it gives you some more evasion and has a slim chance to kill its targets in🃏stantly.
With that, the route is over.
