Oddworld: New 'n' Tasty, a remake of Oddworld Inhabitants' 1997 puzzle-platformer Abe's Oddysee, will arrive on 168澳洲幸运5开奖网:Nintendo Switch on October 27. The game, which was first released in 2014, was praised for its puzzles, environments, visuals, and dynamic c🔯amera.

On its Twitter page, Oddworld announced, “Hungry? W♚ant something "New and Tasty" for your Nintendo Switch? Oddworld: New 'n' Tasty is available to pre-order starting October 13th!”

In the game, Mudokan Abe embarks on a journey to free himself and his comrades from RuptureFarms, where the Mudokans are destined to be turned into food for the evil Glukkons. Oddworld: New 'n' Tasty redesigned the original Abe's Oddysee in a new 3D engine, updating the '90s look but maintaining the classic 168澳洲幸运5开奖网:puzzle-based gameplay.

Abe's Oddysee was first previewed at E3 in 1996 and was hailed as one of the highlights of the show. The budget for the game was ℱ$4 million, and GT Interactive spent $10 million marketing the title, a 𒐪record at the time for the publisher. In its review, Edge described the game as "a tight 2D platformer that's packed with great innovative touches and some great character design."

The game spawned two sequels: Oddworld: Abe's Exoddus, which was released for PlayStation in 1998, and 168澳洲幸运5开奖网:Oddworld: Munch's Oddysee, which was released for Xbox in 2001. In June 2012, Oddworld announced that Oddworld: New 'n' Tasty would not be a remaster of the original PlayStation title, but a remake built fromඣ the ground up with 2D gameplay and 3D graphics, using the original simply as a blueprint.

In addition to the Switch release, a basic limited-edition physical release, in both standard and deluxe edition forms, will also be sold by retro publisher Microids. The physical edition, available to preorder now at selected retailers, includes a boxed copy of the game with a lenticular🐭 cover, a sticker sheet and a keychain.

Oddworld: New 'n' Tasty launඣches on Nintendo Switch on October 27. It is available now on PS4, PC, Xbox One, and iOS and Android devices.
