Multiplayer Modes, Explained

Off The Grid has three modes while in Early Access: Battle Extraction, Deathmatch, and Tutorial & Practice.

A Ba🌞ttle Royale mode and a 60-hour campaign are expected to be released ꦬin the future.

Battle Extraction is a mix of a Battle Royale mode where you can play solo or in squads with two teammates. Here you'll play as any regular Battle Royale, jumping from a plane to a big map, looking for resources, and trying to be the last player/squad alive. One of the main differences is that you can find Hexes, which work as lootboxes in the game, and you need to extract them to add them to your inventory.

Deathmatch is the classic everybody against everybody. You can only play this alone, without any other p🍌layers in yo🥀ur party.

At the time of writing these lines, I had difficulties finding matches here🐓, with queue times that went on for too long and got canceled automatically, without finding a match.

Finally, Tutorial & Practice includes a brief tutorial of all the essential things you need to know about the game, and two different practice arenas, with one focused on weapons an🍌d 💝the other on cyberlimbs. Here you can spend all the time you want learning how every gun and piece of equipment works.

How To Add Friends And Play With Them

If you want to play Battle Extraction ✤in Trio with oওne or two friends, you can do it easily.

First, go to the Social menu (on the to♛p right side of the screen, next to your earned Gun and the Settings button)🍰. Here you'll see your current squad.

On the right side, you'll see any friend connected on the platform you're using, and you'll be able to invite them right away. If you need to invite someone that you don't have on your friend list, you need to go to the Add Friends tab and type their ID. Then you have to add them to OTG Friends.

This works no matter th🧜e platform of your friends.

If you want to play Battle Extraction with friends, you don't have to do anything else. However, please note that you won't be able to play Deathmatch or go to the practice area while you are in a party.

Is There Cross-Platform Play?

Yes, Off The Grid has cross-platform play, and it's selected by default the first time you boot the game. Console players can play against PC users with no issues. You can also invite your friends on other platforms to play with them.

I🔯f you want Crossplay disabled, you can go to the Settings menu and turn off the option.
