The Waterbirth Island Dungeon in 168澳洲幸运5开奖网:Old School RuneScape houses many fearsome creatures - most notably, it is home to the three Dagannoth Kings. Each uses a different combat style - one melee, one ranged, and one magic -, and they all weigh in at a massive combat level of 303. Most players will forego two of the Kings and instead set their sights on Dagannoth Rex.
You should not take the challenge of soloing a Dagannoth King lightly, although Dagannoth Rex is the easiest to solo of the three. He also has the potential to drop an impressive array of rare and valuable rewards, such as the Berserker Ring and the coveted Dragon Axe. Each kill guarantees you some Dagannoth Bones at least, which fetch a modest sum at the ꧑Grand Exchange.
How To Find Dagannoth Rex
Dagannoth Rex, alongside the other Dagannoth Kings, is located at sublevel six of the Waterbirth Island Dungeon. There are no formal requirements to traverse the dungeon itself, although unlocking the ability to travel to the island is a different story; if you want to travel to Waterbirth Island, you'll need to complete The Fremmenik Trials quest.
This will unlock the ability to travel to Waterbirth Island by boat when speaking to Jarvald in Rellekka. If you want a faster way of accessing the island, you can instead use the Waterbirth Teleport spell from the Lunar Spellbook - given that you have it unlocked. Since obtaining this spellbook requires The Fremmenik Trials to be completed anyway, there isꦿ no way to access Waterbirth Island without completing this quest.
Sublevel six, home of the three Dagannoth Kings, is the lowest level of the dungeon - keep heading down the ladders you find across the dungeon and you'll find it without much trouble. You will eventually reach the Kings' Ladder, which leads you to the room containing the Dagannoth Kings - if you're on a Slayer task, you can right-click this ladder to enter a separate, Slayer-only room for the battle.
When you go down the Kings' ladder to sublevel six you will be almost immediately attacked by the Dagannoth Kings, so be wary of this and be prepared before you climbဣ down - otherwise, you could die very quickly🍸!
Suggested Levels And Equipment
Dagannoth Rex can be safespotted with Magic, meaning that Ranged and melee stats are not required. However, while you're fighting Dagannoth Rex, you will constantly be attacked by many Spinolyps. That's why having good Defence and Hitpoints levels is recommended: 60 Defence and 60 Hitpoints should serve you well.
However, if you're planning a long trip to the dungeon then 70 Defence and decent melee stats will definitely be good to have - the increased Defence gives you access to Guthan's Armour Set, which will give you random passive healing whenever you deal melee damage. You can take advantage of this by defeating the Spinolyps attacki🐽ng you - this healing may not seem like much at ꦍfirst but it will definitely add up over the course of a long Dagannoth Rex trip. Be sure to bring an appropriate melee weapon with you as well!
In addition to a sturdy armour set, you'll also need some way of dealing damage to Dagannoth Rex from afar. He has a whopping +255 Ranged Defence stat but a pitiful +10 Magic Defence, so magic attacks are by far the best option for a swift kill. Because Rex's Magic Defence is so low you don't need to worry about bringing Magic armour - even if you have a negative Magic Attack Bonus, you'll still be able to hit him without too much trouble.
There are many commendable options for spells here, since hitting Rex isn't very difficult. You can bring a charged Powered Staff if you wish, but other options include Iban Blast and Slayer Dart (if you have the required Slayer level, of course). If you can afford it, one of the best options is whatever Blood spell you have access to. The Magic level requirements vary between these methods, although a baseline of 50 Magic is required for a seriousꦜ attempt. Browse the above options and decide what you prefer to use.
Finally, level 45 Prayer is incredibly helpful since it allows you to use the Mystic Might prayer. Equipping Protect From Magic before descending the Kings' ladder into the boss room is also recommended, since it will drastically reduce the damage you take from the other Dagannoth Kings while you're setting up your safespot for Rex.
Strategy For Soloing Dagannoth Rex
On entering the boss room, your first goal should be to get Dagannoth Rex to a safespottable location. This means, first of all, you need👍 to get Rex to attack you while the other Dagannoth kings are leaving you alone.
This is easier said than done since you'll often be attacked by more than one King on entry - for this reason, many players recruit a companion to lure the other King⛦s away from the🔯 ladder before they descend.
However, if you're on your own, you'll need to run along the right side of the arena as soon as you enter it. If you get noticed by another King, you should go back up the ladder and try again after a few seconds. Alternatively, if you have a companion with you who is willing to die for your cause, you can activate Protect From Ranged and log out of the game for around 30 seconds or so, while your companion draws the attention of the other Kings - this will reset the Kings' aggression so when you log back in, you can fight Rex one-on-one.
Next, you'll want to lure Rex to the safe spot on the southeast side of the map. You can stand in a spot near the two piles of bones, from where Rex wi𝓡ll not be able to reach you if he is approaching from the west side. Everything is pretty straightforward from here: just keep hitting Rex with your spells until he goes down.
Be sure to bring lots of food to stave off hits from the Spinolyps, as well as Prayer Potions for recharging Mystic Might🌺 and whatever other equipmen💙t you see fit.
