Runescape's pets are mini versions of a boss or a skill-affiliated animal that will follow you around, acting as a new tiny companion on your numerous quests and trips to the Grand Exchange. Although no pet is necessarily easy or guaranteed (apart from the pet rock and cat, but who counts them), there are some that, with some skill and determination, these pets are easier to get than others.

Updated November 21, 2022, By Dace McNally: A "classic" server for an MMORPG is often found playing second-fiddle to its modern successor. Old School Runescape manages the opposite, and with good reason — the game is still just as fun and enticing as it was back in 2005. Since then, quality-of-life updates and content additions have stoked the fires, and pets have received some of this much-needed attention this past summer. The most significant change is the removal of Pet Insurance, which is no longer required to keep your pet after death, making pets less costly to maintain and emphasizing the joy of trying to collect them all.

11 💫 ಌ Phoenix - Wintertodt

Phoenix Pet Osrs

The Phoenix is the rarest item rewarded from a supply crate in the Wintertod💦t minigame. It seems today that doing your time at Wintertodt is almost considered a rite of passage in Runescape, and can only have contributed to how quickly the number of people owning this fiery bi♔rd has skyrocketed.

Although the chance of getting the Phoenix is 1/5,000, you roll at least twice a crate — and even more, depending on how well you've done each round — so your chances of getting a Phoenix increase based on your proficiency.

10 TzRek-Jad - TzTok-Jad ඣ

Jad Pet In Osrs

Jad is the big, bad boss of the Fi🍎ght Caves and the final obstacle for those wishing to achieve the dream of wearing that illustrious fire cape.

Jad used to be tricky in the olden days, but with a good range set-up and a quick eye for those prayer changes, you can look at an easy kill every 30 minutes. The chance of getting a TzRek-Jad pet is relatively high at 1/200 or 1/100 on the Slayer task. If that isn't enough, you can also trade in your fire cape for an extra 1/100 chance.

9 𒀰 Baby Mole - Giant Mole 🌌

OSRS Runescape Baby Mole Pet

The Baby Mole is the adorable mini version of the Falador Park Gardener's greatest nemesis: the Giant Mole.

Whilst undoubtedly the cutest boss pet in Runescape, The Baby Mole also has a drop rate of 1/3,000, and with the completion of the Falador Har🦩d Diary for the Mole locator and a good set-up, you could see upwards of 50 kills an hour. Holy Moley.

8 Hell💧 Puppy - Cerberus ⭕

Cerberus Hell Puppy Pet OSRS

The Hell Puppy is the pet drop of Cerberus, a level 318 Hellhound in Taverley Du♚ngeon. The Hell Puppy is a 1/3,000 drop chance, and although Cerberus does require a 91 Slayer to kill, it is by far one of the easiest pets to 🀅get through grinding bosses.

RELATED: 168澳洲幸运5开奖网:Old 💟School RuneScape: The 💝Most Profitable Bosses

Cerberus can be killed on average seven times a trip and possesses a quick respawn time, meaning there's little need to bank. It also drops Primordial and Eternal Crystals and the Smoldering Stone, which can bag you a lot of gold along with your puppy companion.

7 Smoke Devꦛil - Thermonuclear Smoke Devil

Smoke Devil Pet Osrs

The Thermonuclear Smoke Devil requires 93 Slayer, which seems high, but once you've reached this requirement you'll find that he is by far one of the easiest bosses in the game, being killed upwards of once a minute.

The chance of getting the pet is 1/3,000, but with the boss' poor drop table, you'll have little competition in fighting it — just don't expect to make a lot of dough doing so.

6 Scorpia's Offspring - Scorpia

Scorpia's Offspring Pet OSRS

Scorpia's Offspring belongs to the Level 225 Scorpion boss of the Wilderness. This pet is a 1/2,000 chance, giving you a better chance of obtaining it paired with Scorpia being one of the game's easiest bosses.

Scorpia can be killed as quickly as once per minute, meaning that within ten hours, you're looking at a 25 percent chance of this little scorpion nipping at your heels. Scorpia struggles to place higher due to her location in the Wilderness and the possibility of PK'ers who commonly crash this spot.

5 Sko♉tos - Skotizo

Skotizo Pet Osrs

Skotizo is the boss lurking within the Catacombs of Kourend, which requires a totem to gain entry. Although getting these totems can be exhaustive, once obtained it shouldn't be long before you have that funny feeling you're being followed.

RELATED: Old School Ru𝓀neScape: Most Profitable Slayer Monsters

Skotizo has the best pet drop chance in Runescape, with a 1/65 chance. It does take a while to kill (with an estimated ten kills an hour for experienced players), but with totems in hand, it's still much faster than others on the list.

4 ജ Pet Kraken - Kraken 🅷

Cave Kraken Pet Osrs

The Kraken is the easiest Slayer boss to kill, with you only needing a Slayer level of 87 to be assigned it, meaning this is another easy pet to work towards. The Kraken has the same pet drop chance as the Thermonuclear Smoke Devil, 1/3,0⛦00, but can be killed even more quickly — with adept players seeing upwards of one kill a minute.

Its simplicit🌌y is al💙so paired with it dropping great loot, such as the Trident of the Seas and the Tentacle, so you can also make some decent money while searching for this tiny boat-sinker.

3 Pet Chaos Elemental - Chaos Elemental and Chaos F🍨anatic 🅰

Chaos Elemental Pet OSRS

The Pet Chaos Elemental is special in having two sources: The Chaos Elemental at a 1/300 chance and the Chaos Fanatic at a 1/🔴1,000 chance.

Both are easy bosses to solo kill, with the Chaos Fanatic seeing kills in under a minute and the Chaos Elemental up to 20 an hour. With this increased chance and easy grind, the Chaos Elemental is the easiest boss pet to obtain in the game — as long as you keep an eye out for Wilderness PK'ers.

2 Spiderling - Venenatis 🐻

800px-Venenatis.v1 Cropped

Venenatis, the last creature of her kind, is found below the Level 30 Wilderness line and inhabits a partially single-way combat area, giving you an excellent place to battle her that's safe from PK'ers. It's essential to take what you can get in this fight, as this arachnid beast can hit pretty hard.

Because Venenatis is a Wilderness boss, you have a 1/2,000 chance of obtaining the pet. You'll need to tank her into the multicombat area to fight her, so that you can deal full damage while positioning yourself in the single-way combat area to keep yourself safe from unexpected visitors. With some luck, you'll have one of her little Spiderlings, the last hope for her brood, to show off!
