168澳洲幸运5开奖网:OlliOlli World might look like an easy time thanks to its colourful graphics and chill vibe but it's far from it. Get just a few levels in and you'll realise that it's actually very skill-focused and expects the player to learn its mechanics and master them.

If that all sounds a little daunting, don't worry, as there are plenty of tips and tricks that we've picked up in our playtime that can help ease you into things and help you achieve Gnarvana a little bit faster.

Go At Your Own Pace

Before we start hurrying you along and trying to teach you everything you need to know, there's one key thing you need to know - go at your own pace. No matter how difficult OlliOlli World may get, one of the best things about it is that you don't have to go full speed.

Rather, you can choose to just get through a level without doing it in one life, or try getting a few of the challenges before aiming for the high score. Each level is so replayable that you can choose to sit on one for as long as you like, or just keep briskly moving through them and going back to them when you want to get everything. It's totally up to you.

Don’t Worry Too Much About High Scores At First

With that advice in mind, here's another one for you - don't try and go for the high scores too much at first. The first few worlds make these scores pretty low to begin with, so this shouldn't be too hard, but you're going to be missing some of the key skills you're going to need to get the best scores, so you might as well wait until you learn them.

One of those we'll mention in a second, but you shouldn't be replaying a level over and over again until you've been taught all of the fundamentals. If you wait until the end of the game to go for the high score, you're going to find yourself with more points than you can imagine.

Manual Everywhere Once You've Learnt How

OlliOlliManual

Those of you who have played any skating game ever are grinning right now - knowing how to manual is very important and key to getting the best scores.

You'll learn how to manual pretty late into the game and what it lets you do is connect combos. Any dead air is now turned into a chance for points and once you've learnt how to do a manual, you're going to want to try and go through whole levels using the skill. It's the biggest adrenaline rush OlliOlli World has to offer, but be warned as you can only do three in a row before ending the combo altogether.

Ollie In And Out Of A Wallride If You’re Having Trouble Landing Jumps

Another skill that you're going to learn in OlliOlli World is how to wallride, which essentially lets you platform between areas. If there's one skill that's going to be a bit of a pain, it's this one.

You're able to trick in and out of a wallride, but for some reason it always feels like you're dragging behind and missing jumps when you do so. To combat this, I always found that simply performing an ollie in and out of the wallride will make sure you keep the right height and speed. Whether the complexity of the trick slows you down, or it's some kind of placebo, I'm not sure, but using an ollie always seems to make things easier.

Always Go For A Power Push

The first skill you're going to be taught in OlliOlli World is how to push your board, which you can do by pressing the A or X button over and over again to gain speed. Simple, right?

Well, as it turns out, there's a much easier way of doing things that you'll be taught a few worlds in. The "Power Push" has you holding down that same button and then releasing for one push that is the equivalent of three normal pushes. This is simply the better way of doing things and saves you a lot of time. Why isn't this just the default?

Half-Pipes Act As Speed Adjusters

HalfPipeOlliOlli-1

Although a lot of OlliOlli World has you racing downwards, there are a few times where it'll require you to keep your speed consistent to land a jump. Half-pipes are not one of those times.

As soon as you approach a half-pipe, you no longer need to worry about speed, as it'll automatically speed you up to make the jump. This means that you don't need to worry about power pushing or timing when you approach one. Make sure you're still performing tricks when you go through one, though!

Move On From Basic Tricks As Soon As Possible

Here's one of the cornerstones to scoring big - move on from the basic tricks as soon as you can.

Everyone loves a good ollie, but you should really never see it in your trick list. Instead, you're going to want to be putting a few more flicks in there and performing the advanced tricks. You'll see the colour change when you perform these and they're much higher scoring moves than the basic tricks. They'll take some time to master, but you'll soon forget what a kickflip ever was.

Anything Purple And Glowing Can Be Smashed

Finally, here's a tip that tripped me up for an embarrassing amount of time - anything purple and glowing can be smashed.

You'll be taught about Smash Grabs in the game's third area, Burnt Rock. To perform this trick, just grab the board as you ram into something breakable. Although this will seem like it only applies to the purple crystals you see when the trick is demonstrated, the move will actually pop up in a later level called Landfill Mountain as a purple glowing floor and nearly completely throw you off. Smash that floor.
