There's a𓄧 good reason you've likely never heard of Olympus 2207. That's because it's a Russian total conversion mod of Fallout 2 that came out in 2014. It was only released in Russ💛ian, however, so non-Russian speakers didn't have much of a chance at installation, let alone playing the mod.

Which was a shame. Olympus 2207 was an ambitious project from mod team Nebesa Games to totally overhaul Fallout 2. Although the engine, assets, and some of the mechanics are the same, everything else has been entirely rebuilt. The SPECIAL system has been m𒊎odified and rebalanced with altered influence gameplay, skills now grow with use regardless of whether or not the player devotes levels to their development, and new graphics, mini-games, quests, and crafting have been added.

The game still takes place in a post-apocalyptic wasteland, which bears a strong resemblance to the world of Fallout. A nuclear war in 2013 has left Silicon Valley an irradiated desert. Survivors escaped in improvised shelters while the rich waited out for years in more elaborate underground bunkers. Only the skyscraper Olympus survived the nuclear exchange, and by 2207, it serves as a beacon of civilization with🍨 power, food, and water for those who can manage to get past the guards.

Note that you'll still need Fallout 2 to play this total conversion mod an♎d that your original Fallout 2 game files will be overwritten as part of the inst🐓allation process.

Best of all, Nebesa Games is working on a sequel. Olympus 2249 will have a new hero, region, and all-new story when it eventually arrives, but there's no release date for it yet. In the meantime, your best option for an all-new Fallout game isꦉ probably Biomutant, if you can believe that.
