  • That said, the studio is making efforts to patch things, including making cosmetics available account-wide and not tied to a single character.
  • Those cosmetic changes will be available soon and impacted players who purchased multiple will receive a refund.

It's been a rough week for the newly launched free-to-play multiplayer open world survival game 168澳洲幸运5开奖网:Once Human. Just a few days ago, the game had been review bombed on Steam due to its𝄹 rather egregious terms of service, including the potential to collect a government-issued ID via its personal information policy. And then, just 24 hours befo൩re that, players took issue with the game only allowing one character per account and preventing server switches. Thankfully, that problem has since been fixed. But🐷 regardless, things have not been great.

Ano🦂ther issue that sprouted up revolves around paid cosmetics. Because the game was originally intended for players to have one singular character on a single server, it had tied purchased cosmetics to that individual. But since Starry Studio has since reversed that decision, the cosmetics were still a hangup for players.ꩵ After all, who wants to re-purchase a cosmetic that you already technically own?

Now, in anotherﷺ change of strategy, Starry Studio has seemingly reversed course when it comes to cosmetics. , the studio outlined the upcoming changes, as well as a timeline for them to take effect.

Refunds Will Be Issued To Players Who Purchased Multiple Cosmetics

In a lengthy statement, the developers recognized the error of their ways and outlined how things are being changed for the better. Additionally, the team thanked the players for their support anꦇd asked for continuous feedback to help improve ♌the experience. The statement read in part:

We also recognize that cosmetics being tied to individual characters can be frustrating. We plan to make all purchased cosmetics accessible across multiple characters within the sa⛎me account by August. If you have already purchased the same cosmetic on different characters within the same account, we will refund the consumed Cryꦐstgin or other in-game currency for the additional purchases once the cosmetics are account-wide.

In other words, if you were planning on purchasing cosmetics, you might want to hold off for a couple of weeks, or at least until the issue has been solved in full. And if you happen to have purchased multiple of the same cosmetic, then you'll receive a refund in the form of in-game currency.

Those changes came after a𝔉 publicized conversation that developer Pirate Software had with the team in which they provided comprehensive feedback to Starry. "Cosmetics currently are also per character, which feels very bad," the developer said. "I would much rather have these account-wide. Currently, I have no reason to buy a cosmetic as I would then have to rebuy it for each character I m𝄹ake. Why should I buy a cool hat multiple times just because I made multiple characters? Not interested."

That conversation appears to have led to the changes outlined above. And it would appear that Starry isn't stopping there, either. Because the team has made it clear that fans should leave comments either on Twitter or Discord, and they'll review them and potentially respond as they have over the past week.

Regardless of what's transpired, it's refreshing to see a company not only take swift action, but also be as responsive as possible. Based off the word of people like Pirate Software, there's a good game hidden in there and fan feedback can help bring that out. Only time will tell, though, if gamers will have enough patience to see that through.
