In a lengthy Dev update posted on earlier today, People Can Fly revealed more details about their Hacking and Cheating policy and the consequences these cheaters can expect in the future. According to the threa෴d, PCF was able to identify 200 players who clearly cheated in the Demo, including a player who unlocked a whopping 600 Legendary weapons using third-party cheats.
The studio then revealed that repercussions will be account-wide for these cheaters and not character-specific. If you've used cheats in the game before, you will 🀅not be able to matchmake with legit players, and it will take you a significantly longer period of time to find a game.
On top of that, PCF is also working on a permanent watermark that will be placed on your H♛UD screen if you've used cheats in Outriders. That means if you plan to record any gameplay footage using that 𝔍account, players would be able to identify that your account is flagged for cheating.
However, if you've used the cheats just to try out the new Legendary weapons, you must clear out your inventory and delete all your char🍷acters. PCF has confirmed that in order to not get flagged for cheating in the demo, pl🌜ayers must not "carry over any progress between demo and main game if they've previously cheated but do not plan to do so in the main game."
