This bug was originally spotted in the Outriders Demo but People Can Fly, the developer behind the game, stated that the team is working hard on this issue and hopes to resolve it before the 🎃launch of the full game. Yes, People Can Fly has confirmed that it will be restoring the wiped inventories of players who have been affected by this bug in the future.
The dev update states the restoration process will take pl꧑ace on "a specific day and should be a one-time event." These restored items will be "additive" to the player's inventory. This means that players will not lose their current inventory items with the new ones. This process will only restore Epic (purple) and Legendary (orange) weapons and armor pieces. Anything below that rarity will not be restored, as confirmed by the developers. Furthermore, restored items can have different stats compared to their original version.
