Blizzard was quick to deal with the inconsistency though, as they've sin༺ce altered her information page on the official website to🀅 match this 3-year leap in her age.
This is all the more interesting, considering her specialized Valkyrie suit supposedly slows her aging. Unfortunately for the sta🍌ff-wielding medic, it seems it had the reverse effect.
9 🎐 A Staunch Peace Advocate
It would make sense that that practiced medic in the Overwatch universe isn't much for conflict. Yet, Mercy is a particularly staunch advocate for peace - and this extends beyond her desire f🐟🦹or "peace and quiet" before matches.

You may have wondered why Mery's staff is known as the "Caduceus." This tag was applied, in part, because of confusion on the partꦇ of the US Army Med🔯ical Corps, who adopted this symbol of Greek myth, associated with the god Hermes.
What they actually meant to refer to was the Rod of Asclepius, which is wielded by the Greek god Asclepius. This makes more sense given the context of Mercy, as Asclepius is a deity associated with healing and medicine, while Hermes is but a messenger god. Though it seems like a silly mistake, one can somewhat understand how it happened, as the Caduceus is a winged staff symbol with two coiled snakes, while Asclepius' rod has a single entwined snake.
Regardless, Bli💖zzard went with this reference based on the Medical Corps symbol, and the rest꧙ is history.
