However, only a few heroes have the actual ability to fly, much like Pharah or Mercy.
🌌Echo breaks that tradition by having an fly ability, which allows her to jump into the air. The jump covers quite a bit of terrain and goes fairly high, and with her passive similar to Mercy's, she🦩 can glide to extend her time airborne.
9 𝄹 Hate: Insane Damage Ou💧tput
So far, based on the gameplay that has been showcased by streamers and which is now available for everyone to experience on the Public Test Regio🐠n, it's very obvious that Echo can dish out quite a bit of damage when in the right hands. Any player with a knack for projectiles can get a lot out of her.
The worrying part is her Focusing Beam ability, which allows her to summon an energy beam simi🅰lar to Symmetra's primary fire. The beam does more da🐽mage when the enemy is low health, making it extremely powerful at close range — too powerful, even.
8 L♔ove: Anti-Shiꦗeld
It's clear that every Overwatch player hates oppressive metas, which forces players to pick up certain heroes to even stand a chance of winning a game. In the last six months or so, shields have had a massive pla♒ce🐎 in the meta, mostly thanks to Sigma's release and the existence of Orisa.
While shields will probably just come an🦹d go from now on thanks to hero bans, they're still an aspect of the game, which can be frustrating. Due to this, it's nice to know that Echo not only has the mobility to go past shields, but also destroy them quickly with her Focusing Beam.
7 Hate It: No Defen🦹sive Ability
While Echo packs a massive punch and her mobility is one of the best in the game as of now, much like 🍎Pharah she has some weaknesses when she's airborne. Unless she's getting pocketed by a Mercy or has a harmony orb on her, Echo is very vulnerable out in the open.
Without proper peeling, it can be difficult t🌠o get value out of Echo if she gets focused down by snipers or other long range hitscan heroes. This is probably a good thing in terms of balancing the hero, but it can make playing her a bit frustrating if the team just isn't supporting their Echo.
6 Lov🍷e It: Great Character Design
Mechanics and abilities aside, it's good to look at the mere character design of Echo, and appreciate how🙈 unique and wonderful she is. There aren't that many female DPS heroes to begin with, which is why we love the fact that she's a female-identifying character with a 🥃punch.
Her lore is quite compelling, and considering there's been footage of her character model for some time now, it's cool to see her finally brought 🍒to life. Her emotes have been showcased recently as well, and it's ✅all proof that players will be getting an very well-designed character from Blizzard.
5 Hate It: Very Elusive ꦓ
While it's true that Echo is somewhat vulnerable while she's flying in th𓄧e air, her cooldown time allows her to jump up and down in a way that can be extremely irritating to 🦩deal with for the enemy team. If high ground is taken advantage of as well, Echo can constantly be in a great position to pressure the enemy.
It's likely that her jump's cooldown will be tweaked in the coming days. Right now, however, by the time Echo returns to the grou༺nd from her flight, she'll have her abilitﷺy back off cooldown for her next jump. For a hero able to do so much damage, this is pretty dangerous.
4 Love It: 𓂃Versatile Damage
Some of the best heroes in the game have a variety of ways to do damage, which are great for different purposes. Whether it's to pressure an enemy shield or take down a 168澳洲幸运5开奖网:solo sniper on a high ground, having versatile damage an꧅d different types of firing modes really completes a hero's design.
Echo is no different. It's great that she not only has fantastic primary fire that ꧅can be used from afar, but also an ability like her bea🔜m, which is useful if she wants to play frontline next to her tanks. This means she won't just be forgotten in the hero pool, but might actually be a viable character.
3 Ha🍸te It: She's DPS
Let's address the elephant in the room: the lack of support and tank characters. This has been a glaring issue in Overwatch for a very long time, and it's even more of an issue now that hero bans are in place. These bans will affect the non-DPS roles more significantly, due to the low hero count in🐽 those categories.
Many were expecting Echo to be some sort of a support hero, but were very disappointed to find out she was going to be just another DPS character. Thankfully, Jeff Kaplan has promised that Overwatch 2 will featu෴re a whole host of new support and tank characters.
2 🧸 Love It: Unique Ultimate
When trying to predict brand new abilities or hero concepts for a game like Overwatch, seeing what many MOBA games are running is actually quite useful. It was pretty muc♊h guaranteed that a hero with some type of copycat ability would come along, and it's great that it's happened so soon.
Echo's ultimate is a really cool and distinct one, which will no doubt shake things up in a game that has become incredibly stale over the years. If all goes well, it will keep the meta dynamic rather than set her as a must-pick he💮ro.
1 🌟 Hate It: Insane Ultimate Charge 🍷
While her ultimate itself is pretty cool, there are some issues to it. Echo's ultimate basically allows her to become any hero found on🃏 the enemy team, although she can't actually pick a target to transform into if the target is behind shields. The problem with this is that the ultimate lasts for as long as 15 seconds, or until Echo dies. Depending on the duplicated hero, this can take awhile.
Moreover, Echo's ultimate charge during duplication is extremely high. She can easily farm the duplicated enemy's ultimate two or thre𒁃e times, which can be absolutely devastating. This is the biggest worry most players have regarding her kit, and will no doubt❀ be subject to balance changes.
