Namco Museum and Pac-Man Championship Edition 2 Plus have been hit with big discou🐟nts on the Ninten⛎do Switch eShop.
Despite being the most recognizable video game character in the world alongside Mario, Pac-Man has been rather quiet lately. Bandai Namco hasn't done much with the character since the release of Pac-Man Championship Edition 2 in 2016. Pac-Man has been the recipient of numerous games in the past. There was the classic arcade title, and sequels/new takes on the formula like Pac-Man 256. There was the platformer Pac-Man World series, and the Ghostly Adventures reboot. Hopefully the character will star in a title again, but for now, fans can pick up a couple of Pac-Man games on sale.
Perhaps to celebrate Pac-Man's 40th anniversary, a couple of titles have been slashed on the Nintendo Switch eShop (via ). F𓃲irst is , which is currently 70% off at $8.99. The other sale is for , also 70% off at $5.99. The discounts end on May 25.
Namco Museum features the arcade release of Pac-Man, alongside classic Namco titles such as Dig Dug and Galaga. Meanwhile, Pac-Man Championship Edition 2 Plus is an updated version of the original release. Plus has a 2-player co-op mode, exclusive to Nintendo Switch. All in all, these are solid di🌜scounts for thos꧙e who are in the mood for some arcade gameplay.
What's next for Pac-Man? It's hard to say, unfortunately. A number of fans have been asking for a return to Pac-Man World. Time will tell what Bandai Namco does with its gho♏st-eating p﷽rotagonist.
