Just because you're in a mysterious, quarantined zone full of strange entities doesn't mean you can't travel in style though. You can find paint, decals, and customization items like computer-themed bobbleheads just as you find resources for crafting, and use them to make your cꦯar truly unique.

How To Find Car Customization Items

Player character looking at a previously logged Pneumatic Deposit Box in a blistering forest area in Pacific Drive.

Car Paint, Decal Kits, and Decor items can be found randomly like other resources in the game. They have a chance of appearing in any type of common loot container, like backpacks and crates, but they're far more common in certain containers:

  • Pneumatic Deposit Boxes.
  • ARDA Investigator trucks.
  • Abandoned Squire cars.
  • And Box Trucks.

These containers have a much higher chance of containing at least one Paint, Decal Kit, or Decor item in them, and they'll often have around two to three of the three at once.

All the Paints, Decal Kit, and Decor you pick up can be 168澳洲幸运5开奖网:stored in your trunk or s🤪torage options like usual, but they can't be applied until you return toܫ the Auto Shop.

Cosmetic items specifically can also be found in the unique Deco-Vend, which can occasionally be found inside Gas Station shops. These give you one random Cosmetic item per pull, then break afterward.

You can also make your own Deco-Vend later in the game, once you've begun acquiring Unstable Energy and have unlocked it via the Fabrication Station.

This version works the same, except you can spend Anchor Energy on cosmetics, and the machine won't break.

Both Paints and Decal Kits can be stored in th▨e Paint Shelf to conserve space in your lockers for other resources.

The Paint S🌸helf is unlocked automatically after starting the ga🌳me.

To apply Paint or a Decal Kit to your car, you'll first need to equip it to your hand. They work like Repair Putty and other repairing items, and can be applied to a car piece with Use Item Or Tool.

This takes a few moments, then the paint or decal will appear on the car, and it will lose durability.

Every time you u꧙se the item, it will remove one durability from it, and ru🎀nning out of durability will cause it to break like any other tool.

  • Every Paint has a total of 30 Durability.
  • Every Decal Kit has a total of 15 Durability.

Despite this, you can store and hold multiple of the same Paint and Decal Kit in the Paint Shelf, and you can find duplicates at a fairly consistent rate.

The exception to this rule is the paint and decal items from the We Have Liftoff Customization Pack, which autom𓂃atically reappear in the Paint Shelf upon breaking.
