Thanks to the magic of the Phoenix, you'll be arriving into the world of Palia safe and sound, but unfortunately, all you've got on you is the clothes on your back. The residents of nearby Kilima Village won't leave you high and dry though. They'll assist you with tools, adapting to the new environment, and acquiring a house.

You'll have plenty of opportunity to expand and decorate your house, but it'll take some time, effort, and materials to do so. We'll show you how to obtain your house, how to add onto it, the different ways you can modify it, and how to expand your housing plots.

How To Obtain A House

After completing the main quests, Learning the Ropes and Spiffy It Up, your next quest will be House, Sweet House. Kenli, the mayor, wil🍬l help you get the foundation of your house together.

Use the Advanced Housing Menu with the "H" key, and place down your Harvest House foundation wherever you'd like, though you may need to clear out some space for it due to its large size.

Interact with the standee in front of the foundation. You can check the materials you'll need and deposit them as you obtain them or all at once. In total, you'll need 100 Sapwood Planks and 35 Stone Bricks for your house.

If you haven't already obtained a smelter and sawmill, you'll get two additional quests, Plank by Plank and Brick by Brick.

These introduce who to buy the sawmill and smelter from, Ashura and Hodari, and how to ಌstart෴ making refined materials with them.

• The sawmill is obtained from Ashura, the Foraging Guild representative, and you can purchase the recipe for a Basic Sawmill for 100 Gold.
• For the stone bricks, you'll need to visit Hodari, the Mining Guild representative. You can purchase the recipe for a Basic Smelter for 100 Gold as well.

The recipes for Sapwood Planks and Stone Bricks will be automatically unlocked as soon as you obtain the smelter and sawmill.

Deposit them at the standee and after eight real-world hours have passed, your house will be completed.

How To Use Wallpaper And Flooring

Alongside furniture and various decorations, you also can individually customize the walls and flooring of your home. Your first sets of wallpaper and flooring will likely come from completing the main quest House, Sweet House, which rewards you with both Natural Wood Paneling and Apothecary Stone Floorℱing.

First, you'll need them in your action bar. From there, scroll onto them and use them li🍷ke you would if you were eating a food di🎃sh or placing an item.

You'll enter into a menu similar to when placing and moving furniture, and from there you can individually paste wallpaper onto each wall of your house, and flooring onto each room's floor. Wallpaper is also usable on the outside of your home, and can be put on each side of any given housing room addition.

Since you add wallpaper or flooring per surface, you can mix and match different wallpapers and flooring.

Adding wood floors to bedrooms or living rooms and smooth stone flooring types to a kitchen area can 🐈really spice up ꩲyour design. The same applies to wallpapers for different room types!

Where To Purchase Housing Additions

Initially, you have access to a 11x11 room with the Harvest House, but it can get cramped quickly, especially if you enjoy 168澳洲幸运5开奖网:crafting and decorating with fu𒁃rniture. You can add onto your house with different sized rooms and sections that you'll need to provide the materials for.

Similar to Writs and 168澳洲幸运5开奖网:Crafting Licenses, housing additions are purchased from the Kilima City Hall for Gold. All of them have a base cost, but repeated purchases of the same addition will have a slightly increased price.

There's a limit of 15 Housing Additions in your plot, but some items – the Fireplace, Kilima Porch, Kilima Door, Gazebo, and Windmill – do not count towards this limit.

How To Add Rooms And Additions To Your House

Once you've purchased any additions, the foundation of them will become available for placement in the Advanced Housing Menu.

When it comes to room additions, such as the Small Room, Palia works on a system similar to puzzle pieces.

Each room, other than the Harvest House, has four points of contact, with one on each side of the structure, and you can connect rooms together by linking them point to point. Empty points of contact are signified by a pale orange circle, and when two rooms can properly link together, the circle will then change to green.

Housing Additions like the Fireplace and Porch work in the same way: you can drag and connect them to a room as long as there's sufficient space. Once a room or addition's construction is complete, any wall pieces will be returned to your inventory or storage if they no longer fit on the wall.

For example, you can connect two Porches to two different Large Rooms, and have multiple entrances to your home. This can give you a ꦕmore dirꦕect access point to a storage room or kitchen.

You can also connect multiple Hallway Sections together to make a long h꧋allway betwee꧋n rooms, but be careful of the building limit.

How To Modify A Room's Window Or Doorway Style

As of Patch 0.168, you now have the ability to modify the style of window or doorway style of any given room.

From the Advanced House Menu, you can select the edit button – signified by the white square and pencil icon – above a room, and you'll see a radial menu with the available options.

Like with adding a new room or addition, any wall ite𒁏ms that no longer fit will be returned to your storage or inventory.

How To Obtain More Housing Plots

As you add more housing additions, crafters, and soil squares to your plot, you'll find that you start to run low on space. When that happens, you'll need to expand your plot size with Writs.

Writs can be purchased at Kilima City Hall from the cash register sitting on the front counter and each one costs a 168澳洲幸运5开奖网:small amount of Renown. Initially, Writs start off at 20 Renown, but the price will gradually increase as you buy them and caps out at 100 Renown🥀 by the final purchase.

There are 39 Writs available to purchase that correspond to the 39 additional housing plots you can unlock. You'll need a total of 2,410 Renown for all of them.

To use them, you'll need to go to your housing plot and access the Advanced Housing Menu. Select any locked plot, and you'll get a prompt asking you if you want to unlock it for one Writ.
