Player character in the Modification Bench Menu, showing a selected Ranch House Armchair in the Shore coloring and the player storage next to it in Palia.

To use the Modification Bench, first find a good location for it. Its small🍷er size makes it fit both outside your home, in the Makeshift Tent, or inside your home.

Interact with it, and you'll see both its modification menu and your storage side-by-side. Any furniture pieces capable of modification will have a brighter icon, while any that can't be modified, such as the Kilima Inn Couch, will be grayed out.

Select the piece of furniture you want, and it will appear on the left-hand menu.

You'll see a small preview of the furniture and its coloration, and underneath, you'll see six color options: the default coloring, Autumn, Berry, Classic, Shore, and Calathea.

Select the color you want, and confirm it with Apply Modification. If you ever want to return furniture to its original color, it will not cost any modification kits.
