Gliding is a little different than mounting since you can't actually ascend with them. Either way, it more easily allows you to fire a gun while you are using them to travel around, which is useful if you are done with your old-fashioned bow and want to make use of bullets.

Nitewing is a pretty easy Pal to find around your base, and once you've caught them, you can create a mount without needing to level up too much! They move around at a good pace and have a few attacks that can really help in battle, too.

Nitewing can learn a powerful Wind Cutter attack, which almost works as a one shot at many different enemies, as well as a fast-speed Tornado ꩲAttack. This tornado attack is powerful, and after the attack, you rush forward quickly, which is fantastic for getting away from enemies, as that speed boost really does help.

6 Vanwyrm

Can Fly And Cause More Damage

Vanwyrm is a fierce-looking bird that can be found around the volcano in Palworld. Vanwyrm has a bunch of fire and dark-based ෴attacks, depending on the level, but none of them will dash you forward or speed you up.

With that said, when you're riding them, you will deal more damage to the weak points you manage to hit while mounted on your Pal. This can be especially useful when up in the air, as long as you have good aim with your bow or with your bird's attacks.

5 Ragnahawk

Hard To Find But Good To Fly

Ragnahawk is a bit of a challenging Pal to find, as they only spawn in the lefthand side of the world, which is often untrav♌eled until later game due to the heat and powerful Pals that can be found there.

When mounted on Ragnahawk, your attacks will have fire damage applied, which can give you♏ a bit more of a punch when fighting! They also have three skill points in Kindling and Transport, which makes them good around your base.

4 Elphidran

A Boss Who Can Fly

Elphidran is marked as one of the bosses on your map, challenging you to take them on and see if you can win. Once you are strong enough to beat them, you'll have a fun-looking flying Pal who can take you to the skies!

They also cause dark Pals to drop more items when defeated, and their attacks are quite powerful depending on their level. You can keep them at your base ཧto lumber, where they have two skill points, but they are far more fun to keep as a part of your team.

3 Helzephyr

Only Found At Night

Helzephyr is a Pal that you can only find at night. They spawn mostly west of Hypocrite Hill, where they ꦑcan be seen in the sky during the darkest parts of the nighttime. You will need to ensure you are well-prepared for battl🧸e before attempting to capture one of them!

If you do get a Helzephyr, you are in for a treat. They apply darkness damage to your attacks ཧwhile mounted, so you can really pack a punch to some stronger enemies! As a base Pal, they only have points in transport, so they do work as a specialized Pal.

2 Astegon

Hard To Find

Astegon is a rare Pal found around the mineshaft in the Volcano area or in the No 3 Wildlife Sanctuary. If you do find one, you'll still have your work cut out for you, as they are extremely powerful.

Once you've captured Astegon, you have a powerful flying creature you can mount and fly around the map with! This Pal also increases the damage done to ore when you mount it, making it quite useful for resource gathering.

1 Jetragon

It Has A Rocket Launcher

Jetragon will give you a challenge. They can be found north of the Beach of Everlasting Summer, an🍸d the moment that you cross their path, th𝔍ey will be after you and ready to fight. They are extremely powerful, so you will need to ensure that you are ready for this type of battle before you take them on.

They're a fast and powerful flying Pal with a rocket launcher that you can continuously fire while mounted. This really makes light work of any future Pals you come across.
