How To Get Sulfur

Sulfur nodes can be found a few ways, but if you don't want to travel too far, you can find sulfur in just about any dungeon, like the one by the Rain Syndicate Tower. Sulfur nodes look very similar to Ore nodes, but unlike Ore nodes, Sulfur nodes are big yellowish rocks that don't shine in the light.

To mine them, all you need is your good old-fashioned pickaxe or a Pal with a Partner Skill that lets them mine with you, so Digtoise is a good choice. As previously stated, Sulfur can get kind of heavy in your inventory, so if you're in search of large quantities to craft guns and ammo, consider equipping a Pal like Broncherry, Wumpo, or any other Pal that increases ꦿyour inventory space when they're🍰 in your party.

Where To Find Sulfur

The best places to find Sulfur so far are by clearing dungeons, mining nodes in the Desert, or finding them in the Bamboo Grove. Sulfur is currently most abundant in the Desert, but since that's a long way to travel if you made your base out by the spawn point, you can always head to dungeons and mine Sulfur that way.

The Desert is also a pretty vast area with very little access to teleport points, so unless your base is built at a Sulfur node location, it might be a good idea to look for Sulfur elsewhere.

If you want to explore the map more quickly, use a rideable Pal who can fly, or dump your inventory, die, and respawn at spawn locations on other islands. Almost every island has a teleport point for you to unlock, so you can get home easily.

What Is Sulfur Used For

You need Sulfur to craft Gunpowder, necessary to make ammunition for both you and your Pals. Since ammunition gets used up quickly, you may find that you need a near-constant supply of Sulfur.

Gunpowder is made by combining two Charcoal and one Sulfur in the Primitive Workbench or any upgraded form of the Workbench.

Currently, no recipes except for gunpowder require Sulfur, but the following items require Gunpowder (and subsequently, Sulfur) to be crafted:
