Pal skills are perhaps the most important mechanic you will encounter in Palworld. In a world quite literally run by Pals, it's virtually impossible to get anything done without some Pal assistance.🀅 Pal's come equipped with at least one ski﷽ll when you capture them, but as your time on the continent progresses, you'll be able to teach your Pals new skills to help you on your adventure.

There are a few different kinds of Pal skills at your d✨isposal, all applicable in different situations. Whether you're looking to diversify your💟 base Pals' work portfolios or beef up your Boss Battle team, here are a few ways to teach your Pals new skills.

What Are Skill Types?

Pal skills are organized in two main ways. First, all Pal combat (or Active) skills are categorized by 168澳洲幸运5开奖网:Element Type. Second, Pal skills are broken into three types of skills: Partner, Active, and Passive.

Not all skill types can be taught, as some are randomly generated when the Pal spawns into the world file.

What Are Partner Skills?

Partner Skills are skills that your Pal can use while they are summoned to your side. Some Partner Skills take effect automatically, others have to be triggered manually, and still others require special Pal Equipment before they can be used.

Examples of Partner Skills include Teafant's Soothing Shower ability, which can be triggered manually to heal you, and Flambelle's Magma Tears ability, which allows it to passively produce Flame Organ when assigned to the Ranch.

You can't teach Pals new Partner Skills, but you can plan your Pal party and Pal setup at your base to u🐲tilize different abilities than the Pal's default.

For example, if you need Flambelle to utilize the Kindling ability instead of its Magma Tears ability, you can add more Fire Element Pals to your base team, or fill the Ranch with other Pals so Flambelle is forced to use Kindling, instead.

What Are Active Skills?

Consider Active Skills synonymous with Combat Skills. A Pal's Active💫 Skillꦜs are the moves and abilities that they use when in combat.

Each of a Pal's Active Skills are categorized by 168澳洲幸运5开奖网:Element Type, and Pals can learn Active Skills of any Element Type, even if it is at odds with the Pal's base type. For instance, if you wanted to, you could teach a Fire Element Pal a Water Element move.

What Are Passive Skills?

Passive Skills are Skills that affect your Pal's stats, personality, work ethic, and abilities passively.

You can't teach Pal's new Passive Skills, as they are assigned randomly when the Pal generates into the world. However, you should keep a close eye on what Passive Skills your Pals have as they will affect Pal efficiency depending on the task they are given.

Some Passive Skills, like Bottomless Stomach, decrease efficiency, while others, like Positive Thinker, improve Pal efficiency.

Some Pals will have several Pas🙈sive Skills while others may not have any. Usually, Pals will spawn with at least🤡 one, but the rare skill-less Pal does exist.

Keep these stats in mind when assigning Pals tasks. Yo🧔u don't want a Pal who's Sanity decreases rapidly to be in charge of an arᩚᩚᩚᩚᩚᩚ⁤⁤⁤⁤ᩚ⁤⁤⁤⁤ᩚ⁤⁤⁤⁤ᩚ𒀱ᩚᩚᩚduous base task.

How To Teach Pals New Skills

Pal's can't learn new Passive or Partner Skills, but they can learn new Active Skills. There are two ways to teach your Pals new active Skills: using Skill Fruits and leveling up.

How To Find And Use Skill Fruits

Skill Fruits are Fruits that you can feed your Pals to teach them new Active Abilities.

Like Active Pal Skills, Skill Fruits are broken down by Element Type, and every Element Type has a corresponding Skill Fruit that you can feed your Pals.

These e𓆉lemental fruits will resemble the Element Move Type that they teach. For instance, Electric Skill Fruits will look like prickly yellow fruits while Water Skill Fruits will look more like little raindrops.

Each Skill Fruit teaches a specific skill within that Element Type. In that way, no two Water Skill Fruits are the same. While they may look the same, one Water Skill Fruit may teach your Pal Bubble Blast, while another may teach it Aqua Gun. This wil♔l be꧙ specified in the Skill Fruit description.

Merchants will sometimes sell you Skill Fruits. The price of each Skill Fruit depends on the rarity of the move being taught, but usually, Skill Fruits cost around 3,000 to 5,000 Gold. Some Skill Fruits may cost more or less t🦩han thꦜat range.

You can find Skill Fruits a few different ways, but the most reliable way to find Skill Fruits is to harvest them from Skill Fruit Trees.

Skill Fruit Trees are glowing blue trees that grow three Skill Fruits each. Skill Fruits can be harvested from these trees, and will eventually regrow as time goes on. Keep checking🐽 the Skill Fruit Trees you find for the best chances at finding every move possible.

Use the marker categories on your in-game Map to mark where you find Skill Fruit Trees and chests, so you ᩚᩚᩚᩚᩚᩚ⁤⁤⁤⁤ᩚ⁤⁤⁤⁤ᩚ⁤⁤⁤⁤ᩚ𒀱ᩚᩚᩚcan go back and seeꦉ if they have respawned or if more Skill Fruits have grown.

You may also find the occasional Skill Fruit on the ground as random loot, or find them in chests. Explore thoroughly and loot everything!

A good way to ensure you're grabbing high-value loot from the ground is to look for the tell-tale sparkles. Valuable loot will sparkle.

Leveling Up

As you gain EXP on your adventure, so do your Pals. Over time, your Pals will level up and learn new Active Skills.

You'll get a notification on the left side of your screen every time a Pal of yours levels up and learns a new skill. Pals don't learn new skills from every single level, but once they've hit certain level milestones, they'll learn new moves.

If you don't automatically see the new skill in your Pal's Active Skills list, don't panic, it's still there. You can swap Active Skills in the Active Skills menu for any other moves that your Pa🐷l knows.

How To Change Pal Skills

If your Pal has learned more skills than you can equip at one time, you can swap out any of their Active Skills

for a different one any time you want.

To swap out a Pal's Active Skills, enter their Pal Menu in the Party tab and select the Active♓ Skill you'd like to replace from the menu bar on th꧋e left side of the screen.

From here, you'll see a list of all of the other moves that Pal knows. Select the move you'd like to swap for, and your Pal will now have that move equipped instead of the previous 🗹on🧸e.

This mechanic incentivizes teaching your favorite Pals a diverse move set. If you take your Chillet with you everywhere you go, but need it to know more than just Ice and Dragon Element moves, you can teach it other Element Type Skill Fruits and save those skills for a rainy day.
