Panzer Dragoon will return once again as a VR rail shooter.
While we’re still waiting on news about Panzer Dragoon: Remake’s release, a new Panzer Dragoon game has popped up. 🎶This time it’s in VR and places the player directly on the back of a dragon as it flies through some memorabl🍌e spaces in the Panzer Dragoon franchise.
From Wildman comes Panzer Dragoon Voyage Record, a completely new Panzer Dragoon experience optimized for virtual reality headsets. From what we can tell, it's still a rail shooter, but it takes place in first-person view rather than third-person. It's also a walk down memory lane as it will feature stages from the three biggest Panzer Dragoon games, including Panzer Dragoon, Panzer Dragoon Zwei, and Panzer Dragoon Saga.
Players ride on the back of a dragon and use the VR controller as a handgun. We're not clear how Wildman plans to tie in these various stages (🧜or if they're even going to bother trying), but it sounds like fun regardless.
Wildman is still not sure what platforms to release Voyage Record on and will update us with that info at a later ♛date. No tentative release window has been set ༺either.
In the meantime, we should have Panzer Dragoon: Remake to look forward to. Initially announced for the Nintendo Switch at last year’s E3, it has since gotten a 168澳洲幸运5开奖网:PC release (via ) as well as a release on 168澳洲幸运5开奖网:Google Stadia. The game is a faithful remake of the first Panzer Dragoon, with🎶 modern graphics and sound but also a retro rai♑l shooter feel.
The release window for Panzer Dragoon: Remake was supposed to be winter of 2020, but with less than 2 w🌄eeks left and still no word on a street date, it seems inevitable that a delay will be announced 🧜soon.
For those new to the series, Panzer Dragoon is a rail shooter game initially released way back in 1995 for the Sega Saturn. A sequel came out in 1996 called Panzer Dragoon Zwei, followed by the biggest game in the series, Panzer Dragoon Saga in 1998. Saga combined Panzer Dragoon's classic rail-shooter action with a full-on RPG with voice a🀅cting, which was something incredib♐ly rare for the limited hardware at the time and it pushed the Sega Saturn to its technical limits. It was so hard to develop that .
Nobody has reportedly croaked on Panzer Dragoon: Remake or Voyage Record, and we hope it stays that way.
