Those who did that during the first movie will know that's where Paramount first revealed Tails. The fox appeared through a ring portal during the credits and is a huge part of the second movie. Tails seemingly won't be going anywhere either. According to , Sonic's sidekick will be getting a movie of his very own in the future, and work on that project has apparently already begun.
Sonic 2 appears to be a lot more of a blockbuster than the first movie with epic fight sequences between Sonic and Knuckles, and Carrey's Robotnik bringing some of the antagonist's iconic mechs to the big screen.
