168澳洲幸运5开奖网:Park Beyond aims to bring back the theme park builder in a new way. It has two main components: a story-driven campaign mode that sees you build new parks and revive old ones and a sandbox mode where you can create the theme park of your dreams, with or without restrictions and goals. There’s a point-and-click style coa𝔍ster buildin♋g interface, and each ride has two versions, a regular ride, and an Impossified version.

Impossification is the core function Park Beyond is built on, and it’s also the game’s strongest feature. When you expand basic rides into an Impossified version everything is dialed up a notch and the ride becomes a different beast. This means that you can place both regular and Impossified versions of rides and they will both look uniq🧸ue and offer different levels of enjoyment and appeal to guests. You can also Impossify shops, attracting more customers and generating more amazemen🌊t and profit in the process. Finally, Impossified staff members work faster and can move more quickly between locations.

The rides are split into just two categories and anything that doesn’t involve building a track is considered a ‘flat ride’. These are simply placed in the park and once you’ve generated enough amazement from your guests, w💯hich is linked to the appeal of your park, and are then Impossified. The appeal of this mechanic is that the rides are impossible in reality, yet still feel believable somehow.

Park Beyond Impossified Clockwork Carousel

Flat rides are often the simple staples you place between rollercoasters and other track rides, but they are fascinating to wat꧟ch. I don’t think I’ll ever get bored of seeing a Kraken throw guests around in a submarine or a very normal-looking carousel gain extra tiers as it starts up. These rides form the core of many parks, and they are a lot of fun to build around. They also encourage the use of themes and the quirky extras like the Pac-Man rides make great little sections for a park.

Of course, a park is founded on its rollercoasters, and this is where things came a little unstuck. The basics of the coaster builder are easy to grasp. You drag a track around and click to place each section. It changes shape as you move it, meaning you don’t have to choose very specific banking pieces etc which simplified the process. However, it’s also very easy to end up with a🎀 long piece of track that you can’t quite control. I also found that sometimes it was tricky to work out how long I had to make each piece to get to the point I needed. While the idea of the mechanic feels intuitive, the reality is a little less so and still requires practice. Adjusting everything with anchor points is easy, and a huge selling point, but placing the ♌initial track is harder than it needs to be.

Park Beyond Pacman Themed Area of Park

However, the most challenging thing in the game was creating custom shops or buildings. There are a number of pre-built options but you do have separate decor pieces and shop modules available to build completely custom storefronts. Again, the system for doing t൩his is incredibly fiddly and the menu options are difficult to understand. I gave up on it in the end as I couldn&rsq💎uo;t work out how to get pieces to snap together to form an actual building.

The other challenge I faced was in the mission section. The campaign has a great𒈔 story and some characters I love, but just over halfway through hits a difficulty wall. You have to build a park on small islands and are up against both a time constraint and a financial one, both more difficult obstacles than in the previous parks, especially when you can’t set staff patrol areas. Thanks to the difficulty increase and some weird bugs, like coasters deciding not to run when yo🥃u pan away, this was the most frustrating mission I faced, and felt like I’d walked into a cliff mid-story.

Park Beyond Campaign Mode Islands with Goals Highlighted

The Sandbox mode is where the game truly shines and holds the most hope for its future. There are four broad categories of map: Alpine Mountains, East Asia, Desert, and Mediterranean. You’ll find 19 unique maps based on these themes, alongside the campaign maps. Each one allows you to completely customise the experience in terms of finances, upkeep requirements, and research. You can also set yourself goals to make them into a custom scenario. This is the w🎃ay to play that will keep you coming back for more. Building a park is at its core an enjoyable experience, and whi𝓰le there is a difficulty curve, it isn’t insurmountable. You can construct an incredible-looking park fairly easily, and there are blueprints for a range of coasters to help you out. With plans to expand the rides and themes, this mode will only improve over time.

Overall Park Beyond is a unique experience that has a huge amount of potential that’s not entirely been released yet. I experienced a number of visual glitches in particular and there are still some core features that feel absent. While I don’t need to do a deep dive into micro-management I do wish I could set patrol areas for staff, instead of just restricting their duties. I didn’t even find a way to move them or call them to a specific ride. You just have to Impossify them and trust in their jetpacks and the AI. Things like this feel like an oversig🔯ht that I hope is changed as the game progresses.
