The Pathfinder: Wrath of the Righteous Kickstarter campaign has ended with just over two million dollars worth of funding, which is a staggering amount of money, considering the mixed reception to Pathfinder: Kingmaker.

Owlcat Games added a lot of new content to Wrath of the Righteous ove🍰r the course of the Kickstarter, so we're here today to break down the aspects of the game that were funded by the generosity of fans.

New Classes & Races

Pathfinder Ratfolk

We discussed the stretch goal classes in more detail here, along with the stretch goal races here. In short, the Warpriest i✨s a cleric/fighter combo with a focus on self buffs, the cavalier is a master of mounted combat𓆉, and the skald is a barbarian/bard combo with a vast range of knowledge.

The witch class is a new addition to the game. Witches are primary spellcasters with special abilities that allow them to inflict curses on their f𝔉oes. The members of the new oracle class are sort of like cleric versions of sorcerers, with access to a limited number of spells, but they can cast more per day. The shaman class combines aspects of the oracle and the witch, as they form bonds with𓄧 the spirit world in order to gain magical powers.

One of the stretch goals added an additional archetype choice to every class, so they will all have six in the game. ꧒The races will also gain new distinctive choices that are similar to archetypes.

The new races include the oread, which are descended from earth elementals, as well as either the catfolk, ratfolk, or kitsune. Only one of the last three will make it into the game based on a fan vote, but this is the Internet, so catfolk will probably win. Theꦕ dhampir race will also be added to the game. They are the children of both humans and vampires, with many benefits of their undead lineage, such as꧑ a long life.

There 🅰will also be more attack animations in combat to 🅺make things look more interesting.

New Companions

The stretch goals led to new potential companions for the player to use. The first was Woljif Jefto, whose parent's likely named him by throwing down random Scrabble tiles. Jefto is a tiefling and a member of the eldritch scoundrel class. Like many tieflings, Jefto was ostracized for his demonic appearance and is currently a member of a criminal organization known as the "Thieflings." Jefto can sell items for the party to his associates, but he is also a skilled thief and a d꧋ecent spellcaster.

The next companion to be funded was Lann, who is zen archer from the mongrel race, which means that he has been mutated due to his ancestors being exposed to the Worldwound. Lann's body is half humanoid and half demonic lizard, but he hasn't let his bizarre appearance taint his ꦗview of the world.

Ember is an elven witch who is badly scarred from almost being burnt alive at the stake. The experience traumatized her and she was left a♉ beggar without a sense of purpose. She can join the protagonist on their crusade and aid them with powerful magic.

Seelah is a paladin who will be familiar to fans of Pathfinder, as sh꧋e is the iconic character for her class. As a youth, she stole the helmet of another knight and watched them die from a head wound in battle. This led her down the road of a palad🍒in, as she sought redemption for her past actions.

The player will also findꦐ an intelligent magic item that will act as a mini-companion and will fight alongside them on their adventure.

New Character Options

In Pathfinder: Wrath of the Righteous, players will 🧸gain access to epic Mythic Paths that will help them shape their characters in unique ways. Two new Mythic Paths were funded by the Kickstarter - gold dragon and swarm-that-walks.

The gold dragon Mythic Path allows the player to transf﷽orm into a mighty serpent and gain the aid of other dragons on their journey. The swarm-that-walks Mythic Path transforms the player into a sentient insect hive, who thrives on the blood of others and will cr༒ush their own allies in the pursuit of power.

Animal companions 🃏have also been changed. Along with being mountable, it will be possible to equip them with gear, give them feats, and choose their archetypes.

Kingmaker had a popular mod that enabled turn-based combat and this will now be an option in the base game of Wrath of the Righteous.

New Dialogue & Music

The Doubled Reactivꦓity stretch goal means that Owlcat Games is adding a lot more cha🔯racter dialogue that will come up in response to the player's actions in the game.

Wrath of the Righteous was originally planned to have romance options, but the Kickstarter has bumped that up to six. The two new romance options are a half-elf noblewoman named Cameli✃a and an aasimar nobleman named Dae✱ran.

One of the stretch goals that was quickly hit will allow Owlcat Games to record several songs in the game using a symphony orchestra. Wrath of the Righteous will also feature Spanish language support.

Tactical Battles & Global Map Encounters

A later goal also added ten more special random encounters that can happen on the world map. A later stretch goal will allow the player to use magic on a grand scale, performing world-altering rituals in order to help them on their crusade.
