Luckily, you've found this handy piece of information to tell you which among the dozens of spells in Wrath of the Righteous is worth that slot or action. So get ready to bend reality and annoy the patience out of those demons because these spells are your tools and they're the guinea pigs.

Updated January 2, 2022 by Sid Natividad: It has been several months since Pathfinder: Wrath of the Righteous regaled players with a peculiar but standard tale of good versus evil. Pathfinder: Wrath of the Righteous spells, however, remain as robust as ever in the face of the demons and undead you encounter.

With that said, picking the Pathfinder Wrath of the Righteous best spells is still quite a chore what with all the available options around. That's why we've added some of the stronger spells to help those looking to craft their Pathfinder: Wrath of the Righteous metamagic. More spells that will surely change the tide of a battle have been added.

15 🎃 Glitterdust

Wrath-of-the-Righteous-Best-Low-Level-Spells
  • School: Evocation
  • Level: Two
  • Purpose: Crowd control

Glitterdust looks like it's trouble, but get used to it and you'll find that it can make a joke because of how widespread and effective it is against groups of enemies. Glitterdust is an area spell that will shower golden dust against all creatures within its cast radius.

This will then blind all creatures caught in the radius and it will also reveal any invisible or hidden unit. They can then roll a saving throw to see if they can shake off theꦛ gold dust. From that, it already has two purposes, making it scale well toward the late game, especially with Metamagic.

14 Scorching Ray ♔

Scorching-Ray-Spell-in-Combat-Ember-Companion-Build-Pathfinder-WotR-640x385
  • School: Evocation
  • Level: Two
  • Purpose: Single-target fire damage

Scorching Ray doesn't look too appealing especially when placed side by side with area spells like Fireball. After all, it only applies to one target. However, it doesn't get filtered by saving throws, meaning it will hit and deal the full damage every single time (resistance notwithstanding).

That means it's great for bosses or even priority targets. The best part is that Scorching Ray scales with the caster's level, making it reliable throughout the entire game. In some cases, this might even be preferable to other louder and more fiery fire spells.

13 Snowball

vescavor queen in pathfinder wotr
  • School: Conjuration
  • Level: One
  • Purpose: Single-target cold damage and control

Snowball is great spell for such a low level requirement. First off, it's from the Conjuration school meaning it will ignore spell resistance like most spells in that tree. Moreover, it will still deal damage even if the hit roll doesn't turn out successfully.

If it doesn't, then the target will also have to do a Fortitude save. If they fail that, then they can consider their whole turn denied since it will stagger them. That makes the spell great even against high-level enemies since it has a control effect. Moreover, the damage also scales depending on the caster level up to a maximum of 5d6.

12 💫Enervation ಞ

Pathfinder-Wrath-of-the-Righteous-Best-Melee-Class-Options
  • School: Necromancy
  • Level: Four
  • Purpose: Debuff

Those pesky hulking demon enemies that keep stomping you? Give them a taste of undead medicine using Enervation. It's a lovely Necromancy school spell that applies negative levels to a living target. Against undead targets, it will heal them so just be careful.

If the target is right, however, Enervation will give a hefty negative level debuff. It will also hit reliably since it uses the touch ranged attack roll instead of the enemies' saving throw. This already makes it more preferable as a debuff against even boss monsters so you can soften them up.

11 💃 True Seei🐻ng

Pathfinder-Wrath-of-the-Righteous-combat-scene-1
  • School: Divination
  • Level: Six
  • Purpose: Buff

The most dangerous enemies in the game are the ones you cannot see liter🔯ally since they have a frustrating invisibility spell or those damned mirror images they keep spawning. In order to deal with them effectively, True Seeing is almost mandatory, especially in late game where enemies love to conceal themselves.

True Seeing is a buff spell for either the caster or their party members. It will let them see through any illusion. So it's not just invisible enemies whose plans will be ruined but also targets who love their mirror images. Additionally, you'll be able to see the true form of Polymorphed creatures.

10 ♛ Hold Monster

hold person wotr
  • School: Enchantment
  • Level: Five
  • Purpose: Control

Why this instead of Hold Person? Because it works on big and small enemies alike. Moreover, most big monsters in the game attack only in melee range so you'll want to keep them at bay while they watch you murder their small minions. After that, it's a simple matter of ganging up on the poor thing.

Hold Monster 🌞paralyzes a single target in place. This is especially useful in mini-boss fights with plenty of minions. You can also combo it up with the Coup de Grace move as Hold Monster or Hold Person softens up the targets for that deadly action.

9 Haste

haste wotr
  • School: Transmutation
  • Level: Three
  • Purpose: Buff

Anyone who's played Dungeons and Dragons will know just how overpowered Haste can be. Well, 168澳洲幸运5开奖网:Wrath of the Righteous and Pathfinder tabletop made it even more troublesome because this time, it can work as a mass🐲 buff🅺. Haste speeds up character actions and lets them do more per round or turn.

For melee fighters with consecutive attack bonuses or really, just about any character, Haste is phenomenal. It's so advantageous that entering combat without Haste just doesn't feel right or fun. Hence, the spell is almost mandatory.

8 Scare

scare wotr
  • School: Necromancy
  • Level: Two
  • Purpose: Crowd control

One of the worst things that can wipe out your party unexpectedly is swarms of enemies 168澳洲幸运5开奖网:flanking your characters or wedging themselves inside your formation. Thankfully, you can easily sort out this chaotic combaཧt situation with Scare.

Scare forces the Fear status into the targets, making them run away from the source of the Fear. You will have to be careful with this though since Scare is an area ability and doesn't discriminate friend or foe— though you can easily fix that with some Metamagic.

7 𒁏 Animate 🐲Dead

animate dead wotr
  • School: Necromancy
  • Level: Three
  • Purpose: Summoning

Often, you'll be overwhelmed by an unfair number of enemies in Wrath of the Righteous so you'll need to even out the playing field. Animate Dead makes balancing the scales easier. You don't even need fresh corpses to do the job, a dice roll determines the number of skeletal minions you'll get.

For boss fights that are worryingly lopsided when it comes to balancing, having several skeletal meat shields (or is it meatless shields?) is a lifesaver. Besides, 168澳洲幸运5开奖网:playing as a necromancer h🌸as never been as fun as it i⭕s in Wrath of the Righteous.

6 Grease

grease wotr
  • School: Conjuration
  • Level: One
  • Purpose: Crowd control

Grease is one of the starting skills for Wizard or some Rogue classes but that doesn't mean it gets out-scaled fast. In fact, the opposite is true; Grease remains a valuable spell and tactic 168澳洲幸运5开奖网:during late-game. You can lure a🔯 bunch of enemies to a chokepoint using a Rogue, turn that Rogue invisible, and then cast Grease in said chokepoint.

You can then proceed to laugh at the clumsy enemies stumbling over the oil or murder them with Fireball or other area spells. Cheesing the game's enemy encounters is that simple and hilarious. Just be careful not to step on the oil slick yourself.
