Fans of the Netflix hit Peaky Blinders can rejoice as studio Futurlab and publisher Curve Digital have updated us on the puzzle-adventure game based on the show. As revealed by IGN, Peaky Blinders: Mastermind will follow the escapades of the Shelby family, and will be available on Playstation 4, Xbox One, Nintendo Switch and PC t♉his summer.
For the uninitiated, Peaky Blinders is set in gangland Birmingham, England in 1919 - a turbulent time following the first World War. The gangster epic follows the Shelby family as they expand the💯ir criminal empire under threat fr༒om the police. The show boasts a star-studded cast and a 5-season run, but as with other UK shows this amounts to about 30 episodes. The show's creator, who was also heavily involved with the upcoming video game, has strongly hinted at a sixth and possible seventh season.
From the information released so far, we know that the game will serve as a prequel to the events that unfold in the first season. It will feature an innovative time-line driven story-arc where you control ൲6 members of the family simultaneously. You can rewind and replay through the time-line and make changes to the characters' actions as you go, attempting to solve and find the best solution to the puzzles. The aesthetic has an almost dream-like quality through the use of🤡 cel-shading, and one can imagine being inside the brain of protagonist Tommy Shelby as he plots and plans through various scenarios.
