Fortunately, using Unreal Engine 4, Atlus has certainly impressed everyone with how beautiful and stylish Persona 3 Reload looks and plays. The game's cutscenes are now able to capture these story-defining moments and intense emotions in ways fans have only dreamed of. Here are some of the best scenes in the game.

10 🐓 ☂ Welcome to Gekkoukan High School

Day One of Your New Life

Not too long after the game's opening, you are led by Yukari to your new high school where you will be spending a large portion of the game hanging out and ranking up your Social Links. The trip across the water on the monorail is beautiful and engaging as your new dorm mate tells you how much she enjoys the trip to school herself.

After disembarking from the monorail, the scene changes and sh𒉰ows you both walking up the path to the school surrounded by other students, the sun bright and shining and cherry blossoms blooming in the background. With a gorgeous backdrop of the building behind her, Yukari runs ahead, spins around and officially welcomes you to Gekkoukan High School.

9 Tartarus Rises ꦫ

The Tower That Pierces the Night Sky

On your first visit to Tartarus, the game's dungeon, you are met with a very foreboding air as your team waits outside the school. Junpei is confused as to why you all have been brought to Gekkoukan so late at night, but as the clock strikes midnight your questions are answered as you watch in awe as the school is 168澳洲幸运5开奖网:transformed into a large tower before your very eyes.

This scene captures the dark and creepy moodꦗ of Tartarus perfectly, as all the light dims and is replaced with the green ambiance of the Dark Hour. You watch the school clock split in half, stairs warp and fold, and windows multiply as the tower begins to stretch high into the night sky with only the moon shining up above.

8 🌄 🃏Meeting Aigis

The Mysterious Girl on the Dock

As you, Junpei, and Akihiko continue your clandestine operations on the beaches of Yakushima, you come across a girl at the end of the docks that the boys seem enamored with, her face illuminated by the sunlight bouncing off the ocean. After speakin𒁃g to each of you, the girl runs away into the forest, leaving you all duꦇmbfounded.

This scene is beautifully rendered and truly showcases just how gorgeous the game can be. From the lighting, to the effects, everything comes together to emphasize Aigis's appearance. It's no wonder why Atlus used parts of this cutscene in Persona 3 Reload's marketing.

7 New Battle Uniforms ಌ ℱ

Stylish and Deadly

Sometime after rescuing Fuuka, you are called to a meeting in the command room where Ikutsuki gives the team a visual and technological upgrade in the form of new uniforms for the squad. Upon entering Tartarus that night to test out thไe new equipment, a short scene plays out of S.E.E.S. walking into the lobby, kitted out in the new gear.

While the scene is quite short, it does a great job of showing just how confident everyone is after getting their upgrade. The whole team seems to be feeling good about their new look, and it does come with a potent firepower boost: the new threads also come with 168澳洲幸运5开奖网:the unlocking of the Theurgy system, another way to take down the Shadows in style.

6 Betrayal

You'll Never See it Coming

After defeating the last full moon Shadow, the team decides to finally take a moment to celebrate their accomplishments together. The celebration is cut short, however, when everyone is once again pulled into the Dark Hour, despite having been told it would be no more. It's quickly revealed that there was a traitor in their midst, and they used the team to defeat all the full moon shadows for a more sinister purpose.

The scene is wonderfully creepy and suspenseful as the story takes a dramatic turn. Seeing the traitor explain why they did all this as they then capture the team and hold them prisoner is accentuated by Tartarus and the foreboding feeling of the Dark Hour. The following scenes and the aftermath give a taste of just how dark the game's story will get.

5 Chidori's Sacrifice

A Love Cut Short

Junpei and Chidori's relationship is built up slowly over time in multiple cutscenes during the latter half of the game, and you get to see their mutual interest in each other blossom into something more. Chidori, who claims to not fear death and wishes to abandon all attachments to life, wavers as she begins to view Junpei as someone special to her.

The scene manages to hit many emotional notes as we get to see a now former antagonist change her way of thinking for the better and culminates in Chidori's ultimate sacrifice, transferring the remainder of her life energy to save Junpei from dying at the hands of Strega. This brings about the climax of Junpei's own character arc, turning him from the simple goofball he's introduced as into someone with much more complexity.

4 Shinjiro's Sacrifice

We Fight For Something Greater Now

One of the more famous moments of the series, Shinjiro Arakgaki's death at the hands of Takaya and Strega, is a fan favorite for a reason. This scene serves as not only a redemption for Shinjiro's past sins against S.E.E.S. member Ken and the death of his mother, but also as a way to give his long-time childhood friend Akihiko motivation to always strive forward and never stop fighting.

The haunting silence after Takaya's revolver fires is heavy and laden with fear. The team only arrives just in time to hear Shinjiro's last words to Ken and Akihiko: "Isn't this... exactly what you wanted?" and "From now on... you're gonna have to live for yourself." before finally passing away in his best friend's arms.

3 Awakening

Orpheus, Master of Strings

Probably an even more iconic moment is when you, the prot🔥agonist, finally awaken to your Persona on the roof of the Iwatodai Dorm. Having been chased from the first floor to the top of the buidling, you and Yukari finally believe you have a moment of safety before your hopes are dashed and the hands of the Magician full moon shadow reach over the side of the roof in a tru🌟ly haunting scene.

Yukari is quickly tossed aside when she is unable to muster up the courage to pull the trigger of her Ev🃏oker, leaving both of you at the mercy of the shadow. You pick up her fal💞len Evoker, and with a little encouragement from Pharos, pull the trigger yourself, summoning Orpheus and Thanatos for the first time.

2 ♋ ⛄ The Final Battle

Burn My Dread

The final fight against Nyx is filled with epic and heart-wrenching moments for you and the team. After finally making it to the very top of Tartarus, you are greeted by the Nyx Avatar, there to guide and welcome the bringer of death to the realm of man. 168澳洲幸运5开奖网:The battle is long and hard fought, forcing you to rely on everything you've learned from your journey thus far in order to triumph.

The scenes involved in the final battle truly hammer home just how hopeless the job you've been given really is. Having to fight against the concept of Death itself is a daunting prospect. When you are then tasked with finishing the job by yourself after an emotional speech from Igor when all hope seems lost, do you truly find the answer to life's greatest question and Burn Your Dread.

The Answer to Life's Greatest Question

After everything you've been through, all the friends you've made, battles fought, and loss experienced, the Dark Hour finally comes to an end and with it your memories also disappear. You and the team make a promise to meet on the school roof on graduation day to celebrate saving the world together and to prove you will never forget what you have all been through.

This scene on the school roof, with its sweet and peaceful music, gorgeous lighting an🌃d images, and a beautiful speech by Aigis about what the meaning of life truly means to her, is such an incredible way to end the game. Your journey was not for nothing, life has meaning, and Aigis ꦍwill be with you until the very end of your life. As you close your eyes for the final time, you hear the excited calls of your friends, having remembered their promise, and smile as you drift off to sleep.
