Episode Aigis -The Answer- launches today, marking the third and final DLC for 168澳洲幸运5开奖网:Persona 3 Reload. I spoke with general producer Kaz🌠uhisa Wada about this finale for the P3R storyline and how fans are to thank for ensuring it happened.
Persona 3 Reload sold more than one million units in a single week at launch earlier this year, becoming the fastest-selling game in Atlus history, as well as having the largest Steam launch for a Persona game yet. “To be honest, at the time of the project's conception, we did not envision the level of sales we could achieve,” Wada admits. “However, as we got closer and closer to completion, we became more and more confident in the project, and when we saw the response from fans after the announcement, we began to have higher expectations than we had originally planned.”

Persona 3 Reload: Episode Aigis Review: Fight💯 Fo🍸r The Truth
Get some closure after the events of Person 3 Reload in this emotional, combat-focused DLC🀅.
Fans’ reaction to the announcement of Persona 3 Reload helped give the team confidence to expand their plans. “We believed that Episode Aigis🍬 needed to be included for the story to be complete, so it was something we wanted to add when we first drafted Persona 3 Reload,” Wada tells me. “However, due to time, resources, and costs, we were forced to abandon the idea of remaking Episode Aigis for the time being. Even so, deep inside, we didn’t want to give up. As we made progress on developing the main story, we kept searching for a way to work it in.”
Wada is keen to throw the spotlight on the💖 fans for P3R getting a chance, telling me, “I am also very proud of our loving fans, who have🌄 been indispensable in making this possible.”
Fortunately for the team, the public response was extremely positive, with many fans asking whether the final chapter would be includ꧂ed. This encouraged the team and gave them the “final push to decide that we really needed to make Episode Aigis a reality”. Wada also tells me that if the team had waited for the reception of P3R’s launch before working on Episode Aigis,⛦ it would have been at least six months to a year beyond the current schedule, so the team feels fortunate that they were able to start the final DLC in the second half of P3R’s development instead.
Episode Aigis wasn’t the only highly fan-requested content, as many had hoped to see the female protagonist route from Persona 3 Portable feature in Reload in some capacity. However, I’ve got bad news, Persona f🐭ans.
“Unfortunately, a female ꩵprotagonist will not appear in P3R,” Wada confirms. “Back when we were fully planning to do Episode Aigis, we had also considered a female protagonist, but the more we looked at the details, the more unlikely it became. The development time and cost would have not been manageable, and due to the nature of the content, it’s difficult to entrust this exter🅘nally. Even if P3R and Expansion Pass were to sell far beyond our expectations, the actual release would be a long way off from now.
“We want to apologize to the fans who h💧ave supported us for so long, but this follows the same reasoning that allowed us to do 🎐Episode Aigis. P3R just released, and there is currently a lot of player interest, so if we were to release any additional content, it would have to be right now. But since it is not possible to add a female protagonist in this window, we just can’t do it.”
Episode Aigis is a faithful retelling of the original, but with all the bells and whistles that come with Reload. Additionally, Atlus has adjusted some lines in Episode Aigis, with Wada explaining, “We looked back at the scenario and analyzed the various opinions of the fans at the time and picked out the parts of the scenario outside of the main plot that 𒆙were divisive at the time.”
The team also made some del🍬icate adjustments to better convey the “necessary emotional premise” behind the characters’ action⛎s and decisions. Given how the characters are dealing with the loss of the protagonist in Episode Aigis, it’s possible that lines have been tweaked to better showcase their feelings on this matter and better flesh out the original “limited portrayal”, as Wada refers to it.
Episode Aigis in Persona FES was only available in a single꧙ difficulty setting and lack🦹ed the Persona Compendium, which Wada refers to as “not just challenging, but also very stressful”. With that in mind, the team has made five difficulty levels available in the new Episode Aigis and allows players to carry over the Persona Compendium from the base game on all except the highest difficulty setting.
“Episode Aigis is an integral part of P3 and an important piece of the story that leads beyond it. Therefore, I felt it was our responsibi🍸lity to remake Episode Aigis, and I approached the project wi💙th this strong sense of conviction,” Wada tells me. Persona 3 Reload director Yu Hashizume had not played the original Episode Aigis, so Wada explains that the team asked Hashizume to play the Persona 3 FES version beforehand, to which “he had positive and sympathetic feelings”.
Wada believes that fans will enjoy Metis the most when playing Episode Aigis, as she has not appeared in any other Persona game for over 18 yeaไrs. He also notes that “if you are a player experiencing the story for the first time, it will be very interesting to see how you feel about this Episode Aigis in this day and age”, with the hope that new players will enjoy iꦰt just as much as fans did many years ago.
If you want to experience the true conclusion to Persona 3 Reload, Episode Aigiꦰs -The Answer- is waiting to take you on one final adventure with the SEES team. Are you up to the challenge?
