This trailer featured a bit more Shadow co🌼mbat, but it also included several snippets of the game's characters chatting away, giving us our first look at the game's new English voice cast. The characters that feature in the trailer are Yukari, Junpei, Fuuka, Akihiko, and Mitsuru, meaning we've still yet to hear the new voices for Ken and Aigis.
For those that loved the original games, you might find the new voices a little odd. However, a couple of the c🅺haracters do sound pretty much identical to their original counterparts, especially Yukari and Mitsuru. The biggest changes can definitely be heard in both Fuuka and Junpei's voices, the latter of which sounds a bit like Ryuji from Persona 5. They're still pretty good performances from what you can gather from these small snippets, but it'll p🌳robably take some getting used to since the two had fairly distinct voices in the original titles.
If you want to hear more of these character voices, the actors behind them also recently did a panel during this year's Anime Expo. Obviously, it's꧟ not in the best conditions given that theꦡy're reading lines in a crowded convention hall, but Mitsuru voice actor Allegra Clark sounds pretty spot on from what we saw from her. Here's hoping the rest of the cast is just as good.
We'd better hope the voices are good anyway, as Persona 3 Reload will apparently be the chattiest game in the series so far.
